Chapter 16 - The New Year's Eve Party

Christmas was pretty much over and the new year was about to begin. Naturally, everyone wanted to celebrate in style and the only man for the job in terms of hosting it and having the ability to make the new year arrive with a bang was Mr Olajide Olatunji. JJ had a knack of hosting parties and this was one he wanted to get right. The guest list was made up of family, friends old and new and a variety of top YouTube personalities. Everyone who the Sidemen held dear in their personal lives would be there. JJ also wanted to do this for himself, his cocky and exuberant persona that he exhibited so heavily in his videos did not completely represent him, he was a fun person to be around and a really caring and kind person, something everyone close to him knew very well.

The party began at JJ's pad and everyone was in awe at the setup, unique yet stunning decorations, a stage outside on the roof for live music, hired waiting staff and a chef and much more. Everyone thanked JJ for and congratulated him on all the effort he had put into the event. JJ was delighted, he knew he had done well. Drinks were flowing and everyone was having a good time doing different things such as listening to the music on stage, resulting in an interesting dance off between Tobi and Deji, playing party games such as spin the bottle, resulting in an awkward, yet humorous intimate interaction between Simon and Ethan and just chatting and catching up between people. Everyone was mingling, being social and making new friends as well as having a great time with their old ones, resulting in interesting conversations taking place, for example Harry and the two Cal's talking to Spencer FC and the True Geordie about football, Josh talking with Joe Weller and Zoella about fashion, something he wasn't overly passionate about and Vikk and the Pack discussing their holidays and adventures with Pewdiepie and Nerdcubed. This party was bringing people from different places, backgrounds and of different interests together, something JJ acknowledged and felt proud of.

Everyone then moved out to the balcony for a countdown to new year on the stage, it got to one resulting in huge cries of "HAPPY NEW YEAR", people were hugging and dancing, looking forward to the future. Tobi and Josh shared a special moment with each other, recognising how far they'd come.

"Follow me inside Josh, I've got a special surprise for you!" said Tobi smiling

"You shouldn't have Tobi! I'll come back inside in a minute, just going to wish everyone well!" said Josh happily smiling Brightly. He went round to as many people as possible wishing them a happy new year, wanting to socialise and become a more open individual, something that was influenced by Tobi.

He walked inside and was suddenly dragged into a bathroom which was pitch black. He didn't understand until a muffled voice commanded him:

"Lock the door Josh"

"Er... ok..." he locked the door, thinking it was a very bad decision but his curiosity got the better of him.

He was on edge not sure what was happening.

"Who are you? Why the hell have you dragged me in here?"

"Are you ready for your surprise Josh?"

Josh relaxed slightly, it must be Tobi. What the hell was he doing?

"Tobi what is this?"

"Just relax, it's me after all, I'm trying something different"

Tobi's lips then smashed into his, the darkness making the whole experience interesting, enjoyable yet confusing for him. It was passionate and lasted a while.

"Here's the real surprise" said Tobi.

A light was turned on by the figure Josh could just about make out.

"Surprise Josh."

"OH MY FUCKING GOD. NO."

Josh froze.

It wasn't Tobi.
