Luna and I headed off to potions class. We took our seats as Professor Snape entered. He was mysterious looking with dark haired that was a bit long, only arriving at his lips.
"Good morning, class." A few mumbles escaped a few mouths with morning voices.
"So, if any of you have studied over the summer or remember from last year, what do you get when you combine dragon scale, drop of sweat from a wizard, and three pieces of wizard hair?" There was a long pause before Snape spoke again,
"Mr. Weasley!" I recognize the last name and look to see Ron. He straightens up and replies,
"Strength?" Snap nods,
"Well done, Ron." Snapes eyes set on me,
"Why I've never seen you before! Care to introduce yourself, miss?" My heart beats as suddenly my eyes land on everyone around me.
"I'm Eliza Simmons, a Ravenclaw. I transferred from the Merlins Academy of Magic." He extends his arm which I shake his icy cold hands nervously and then he asks,
"Happen to know what potion is made combining a red rose petal, tear of a witch, and a single drop of rain?" I was clueless, how embarrassing. I look around the classroom nervously. I had no ideas and gave a small shrug. Luna leaned sideways,
"Love potion." She muttered.
"Love potion?" I carefully said. Snape smiled,
"Well done."
After herbology and potions, there had been a Quidditch match so we got to leave class. The match had not consisted of first-year students for they didn't know how to play. Luna and I sat in the stands as Gryffindor and Hufflepuff competed. "Coming to support something you have no clue about?" I turn to see Draco Malfoy sitting behind me.
"If I never watch, I'll never learn." I stated.
"Who are your parents, Simmons?"
"Oliver and Marie Simmons. But my father died-,"
"Are they muggles?" I nod,
"Both of them." He bust out laughing. I formed a confused expression and rolled my eyes and turned to face the match which I knew very little about. Luna stayed quiet, concentrating intently on the match..
