I was hanging out with my friends after school on Monday when I noticed a group of boys across the street. There were four boys in total. That was all I noticed until I looked over a few minutes later and saw one of them staring at me. He had short dark hair, with a blonde strip in the middle. I stared back at him until my friend called my name.
"Hello? Earth to Brooklyn!? Anyone there!?" My best friend Destiny said. She has long blonde hair and blue eyes.
I quickly came to my senses and looked back at my friends.
"Who you starting at?" Tiffany asked pushing her brown side bangs out of her eyes. She looked over to the direction I was looking at. "Hm? Was it that boy with the hat? Don't you have a boyfriend? Naughty naughty girl!" She said teasingly.
I laughed it off, I mean what else was I supposed to do? Who were they? I've never seen them around before. Maybe they're new? They have to be. I know everyone in this little old town.
"Hey? Do y'all know who they are?" I asked.
"Their name's are Justin, Angel, Anthony and Eli. They are the newbies in town. Although I wouldn't be around them, I heard that two of them got kicked out of 3 high schools in the last year. They're just bad news. Stay away from them." Destiny warned us in a serious tone. Her dad is a cop, so he always tells her who's bad news. "Why do you ask?" Destiny added.
I looked back over at the group, and saw that he was still looking at me.
"I think one of them might be staring at me. I'm not sure though..." I said, with a hint of concern in my voice. It was really starting to scare me.
Destiny and Tiffany looked over at him.
"Creep... Let's go." Tiffany said.
We all agreed and decided to head home. Well I went to my boyfriend Colby's house. As we all parted ways, I felt like he was still watching me. I was too scared to look back. For some reason I did, and I was right. He was still watching me, with a dazed look in his eyes. I quickly got into my car and drove away. I couldn't wait to get to Colby's house. I needed to feel safe, and I always feel safe when I'm with him.
I finally got to his house and went in. He was on the couch playing a video game, well a baseball video game. Colby plays baseball, and he's great at it.
"Hey baby!" Colby said pausing the game to get up and hug me.
I hugged him back, squeezing him.
"Brooklyn? Babe are you okay?" He said worriedly.
I sighed, "No..."
He looked at me worried and we sat down on the couch and I told him about that guy. He didn't look all that happy that someone was staring at me.
"Who the hell is he?" Colby asked, I could tell he was a little bit pissed by it.
I shrugged my shoulders, "I'm not sure. I know the groups name, I just don't know who is who."
"Names Brooklyn, names." Colby demanded.
"Angel, Eli, Anthony and Justin."
His face changed in a heartbeat, "Stay the hell away from them Brooklyn!" Colby almost yelled.
I don't understand why everyone is making such a big deal about them. So what if they got kicked out of 3 schools in 1 year. That doesn't mean that they're a bad person. I really didn't want to get into a fight with Colby so I told him not to worry that I won't be around them. The rest of the day with him went fine.
At school the next day I had to stay late to help with something. Of course I was the only one who stayed to help, but it's whatever. After I was done I left and before I got into my car I noticed that one guy from yesterday staring at me, this time he was alone. It happened the rest of the week. When Friday came, once again I stayed after school. As I was walking out of the building, he came in front of me. He had a white shirt, leather jacket and black pants on.
"Hey Brooklyn." He said.
Wait, hold up. Did he just say my name!? How the hell does he know my name. I didn't say anything. I just tried to leave, but he blocked my path by putting his arms on each side of me, resting against the wall. Damn... Well now I'm not going to walk against the wall anymore.
"I'm Eli." He said peering down at my face, so he could look into my brown eyes.
"How the hell do you know my name? Why the hell have you been watching me? What do you want from me!?" I said trying to be brave and badass, but let's just say I had more fear in my voice then anything.
That made Eli laugh, "You know Brooklyn, you're pretty damn cute when you try to act all tough." Eli said smiling, bringing his face closer to mine.
I could feel his hot breath against my face as I looked at the ground. He put his hand under my chin, and pulled my face up to meet his gaze.
"Look at me when I'm talking to you, got it?" He said in a calm, but firm voice.
I just nodded.
Eli smirked, "Good girl."
He brought his face closer to mine before removing his hands and backed up slightly, letting me leave. Once he did I quickly left and went to my car. I drove away as fast as I could. Maybe Eli and his friends really are bad news. How the hell did he know my name? That was what scares me the most out of everything.
