I told Justin I wanted to be assigned to someone else. I knew this would mean that I would either be assigned with him, or Ant. I highly doubt that I would get Ant.
"Okay then. I'll tell Anthony." Justin said walking out of the room.
"Wait! Anthony?" I called after him in confusion.
He stopped and turned around, "You are now his responsibility. I don't have the time to do it, so I don't have time for you."
Before I could respond Justin left, shutting the door.
"Congrats, you get to be with 'lover boy'" Eli said.
"He isn't my 'lover boy,' I have a boyfriend." I said back.
"Whatever."
"Aren't you so sad that I'm leaving you?" I said sarcastically.
"Get your stuff and get out of my room." Eli said.
I got my things together and Anthony came over and helped me move my stuff over to his room. He even helped me unpack. We were sitting on his bed just talking.
"Hey Ant." I said.
He looked at me, "Yeah Bridge girl?"
"Thank you..."
He smiled, "Anything for my Bridge girl."
I laughed.
"Are you happy?" Anthony asked.
"About what?"
"About the situation, of not having to be watched by Eli." Anthony clarified.
"Yeah I am. I honestly can't stand him." I said.
"He's not a bad guy, Eli." Anthony said softly.
"To me he is." I said gently touching my cheek.
Anthony sighed, "I should have gotten you someone new sooner..."
I looked at him, "What do you mean?"
"I should've went to Justin sooner... If I did then you wouldn't have..." Anthony trailed off.
I put my hand on his hand, "Anthony, it's not your fault. You didn't know that he would hit me. Plus it didn't help that I tempted him." I said reassuringly.
"I knew that you were unhappy and miserable. I didn't do anything about it. I should've known that sooner or later that something like that would've happened." Anthony said looking down.
"Anthony, you did help." Anthony looked at me, "You have made my miserable time here, not so miserable."
He smiled, "Thanks Brooklyn." Anthony said putting his head on my shoulder.
"Anytime Bug boy."
"An ant isn't a bug. It's an insect." Anthony protested.
"Nope." I said.
Antony laughed.
"God, I love his laugh and smile. They're so beautiful." I thought.
I looked at him, and he looked back at me smiling, I smiled back.
"That beautiful smile for a beautiful face." I thought.
Quickly coming back into my senses I shook that thought out of my head.
"Oh so I have a blowup mattress, I can sleep on that and you can have my bed." Anthony said.
I shook my head, "I'll take the blowup mattress. It's your room and your bed after all."
"You sure?" He asked.
I nodded, "Anthony have your bed."
He finally agreed with me.
He looked over at Bubbles, "She doesn't do much does she?" Anthony asked.
I laughed, "She's tired, I'm not sure why though, but she's tired. Once she wakes up you'll see how she really is."
Anthony chuckled, "Tell me about him."
"About who?" I asked.
"Your boyfriend." Anthony said.
My boyfriend? Oh shit! Colby!
"We'll what do you want to know about him?" I asked.
Anthony laughed, "You forgot you had a boyfriend, didn't you?"
"Whaat? No! Of course not!" I testified.
That just made him laugh more. "Tell me how y'all met."
"He's a family friend. I grew up with him. I always had feelings for him. I never thought we would be together until everything that happened with my brother... Once he left... Colby was always there for me. A few years later, when I was 16, I just got my drivers license... I was driving, with my best guy friend, other then Colby, and my best friend Zoey, who was basically my sister so we always told people, cops especially that we were cousins." I paused, and struggled to fight the tears that were threatening to fall. "There was a crash... They both died... I was in comma for a few weeks. I died, 3 times before waking up. Once on the way to the hospital, and twice while I was at the hospital. Death is exactly what people say. I saw this blue, most beautiful blue I've ever seen, I still haven't seen it to this day. There was a bright light, and a huge hand reaching out for me. I almost took it, but every time I didn't." I paused to wipe the tears, and to pull myself together. "When I woke up, I didn't know that I had lost my two best friends. I became highly depressed, and suicidal, cause all I could think about was that I killed my best friends. Their blood was and still is on my hands. I put an end to a relationship. Zoey had a boyfriend... I don't know who with, but I put an end to their relationship... I was about to overdose when Colby stopped me. He told me that he was in love with me. We've been together ever since."
He smiled, "Oh wow... I'm sorry about that..." He paused, "I'm sorry that you don't get to go work at a bakery, live with the man you love. I'm sorry we had to take that from you... I just hope that it'll be soon when you get to leave..."
I looked down, "It's fine. It's not bugging me as much as it was. I just wish that... That I could see my parents again..."
He put his arm around me, "They miss you. Everyone does."
I nodded.
He wiped my tears, and hugged me tight, "It's not your fault... You never meant to kill anyone..."
I hugged him back, clinging onto him, and bawling.
