The next day things with Eli were better. Don't get me wrong, things were still a little bit heated up with him, but it's whatever I guess. I can't wait to get out of his life. I absolutely can't stand him.
Sure, I feel bad for him and his past, but that's no reason to be civil with him. Eli sure as hell hasn't tried to be civil with me at all.
Don't get me wrong, there are times when we feel sorry for each other and we get along, but I can't stand him I just can't wait to see, "Anthony!" I said, jumping up as I lost my train of thought.
He smiled softly, "Hey Bridge girl!"
I hugged him tightly, god it was so good to see a familiar, friendly, face again.
Anthony laughed, "I can see you didn't miss me at all." Anthony said wrapping his arms around me.
"Well I mean I'm just glad to see somebody who I get along with!" I said.
I looked over and froze. I saw Justin standing there.
"Relax, I'm not gonna hurt you. I never have." Justin said.
"It's okay Bridge girl." Anthony said.
I nodded, "O-Okay." I stuttered.
"About, Angel, my brother, I'm sorry. I just..." Justin sighed. "I didn't know he was going to do something like that. I knew he wanted to see you, but I didn't know what he was going to do. If I would have known then I wouldn't have let him bring you,"
"It's fine..." I said back, a little awkwardly.
"Oh, Ant told me to get something for you." Justin said.
I looked at Justin and Anthony confused.
Justin moved to the side and something dropped from his hand. Seconds later, I saw Bubbles running towards me barking.
"Bubbles!" I said excitedly, getting down to the floor.
She ran into my lap and started kissing my face as I petted her smiling. I picked her up and I stood close to Anthony, right now he's the only one I feel completely safe with.
"What is with all the-" Eli aid coming, soon stopping after he saw everyone.
"He know we're here?" Eli asked crossing his arms.
"We aren't stupid Eli, he doesn't know. We knocked him out before leaving." Justin said.
Eli didn't say anything, he just quickly glanced at Anthony and I.
"What's the plan." Eli said looking at Justin.
He sighed, "Well Angel will look here so we have to move out soon, probably in the morning. Where? I'm not sure yet."
"Can't she just go back to her life? I doubt Angel will think that we let her go." Anthony said looking at me, then at Justin.
Justin shook his head, "That's an option, might not be the safest one." Justin looked at me, "It's up to you. You can go back home and be with your friends, family, and boyfriend. Or you can stay with us."
I looked at all of them. I knew I wanted to go home, but a part of me wants to stay here with them, or should I say him.
"Oh my fucking god, decide already!" Eli moaned.
"Let her think she has to weigh out her options." Justin said, glaring at Eli.
"I want to stay." I said.
"Ok, that settles that. All we need is a place to hide out." Justin said.
"My place." Anthony said. "Angel doesn't know where I live, so that would give us some time."
"Dumbass! He's been to your house before!" Eli said annoyed.
"No he's been to my parents house, not my actual house." Anthony said.
"That's fine," Justin looked at me once again, "Brooklyn, who do you want to be assigned to?"
Before I could speak Anthony spoke, "She should stay with me. We can leave tomorrow, and then you and Eli can stay and try to throw Angel off track. Plus I think she feels more comfortable with me."
Justin looked at me, "That ok with you?"
I nodded.
Eli left without a word.
Later that day I went to the room where Eli and I stayed in, I'm not sure why though.
Eli was laying in the bed and he looked up. His eyes were red and baggy. He stumbled over to me, his breath smelled like alcohol.
"Uh Eli? Are you-"
I got cut off by Eli pushing me into the wall, his arms on both sides of me, he leaned close to me. His face was inches away from mine, I could feel his breath. He leaned even closer to me, "Why?"
My face was full of confusion, "Why what?" I asked.
"Why him? Why do you like him so damn much. I can't figure it out. Why? What the fuck did he do? Why do you always want him? Why are you so happy with him? Why him? Why?" Eli said slurring his words, staring at me intensely, not breaking eye contact.
I didn't know what to say. I was at a loss of words. All I could do was stare back into his eyes.
Eli stepped back, "Forget it." He said stumbling out of the room.
Eli left me pressed against the wall, speechless.
