"Open me up and you will you see I'm a gallery of broken hearts, I'm beyond repair, let me be and give me back my broken parts"

"Do you think he'll ever come back?" I asked Alex whom seemed eager to leave my arms. I just wanted to hold her for a moment longer, but protest was already evident on her face. I set her down and off she toddled. I wrapped my arms around myself, why couldn't everything be like a movie? If it were I'd manage to snag a boy out of thin air, get hitched, and Alex would be the perfect child.

"BAM!" Alex screeched smashing one of her stuffed bunny's into the hardwood. Wonderful child. I blinked away the tear and felt a light hearted feeling swell inside my chest. Sometimes things are better left imperfect.

"What happened," Sam had decided to come back from his smoke break. The stale smell seemed to cling to his leather jacket. The one he refused to take off ever. He tried to be a bad boy too much.

"Nothing, I just told Oliver the basics." I responded flippantly, going to the bathroom in search of a brush.

"She didn't tell him? That's why I stick with guys!" I heard Sam call from the living room. That made whatever heartache I felt dissipate. I choked on a laugh and even heard a slight chuckle come from Sam himself. Leave it to him to make light of a serious situation. I looked at the reflection in the mirror. Hair stuck up in every general direction? Punk girl look? Check and check. I sighed, ruffling my hair. I never seemed to fit that peppy look Kylie pulled off.

I winced as I ran the brush through my hair. Either do it hard and fast or slow and feel like your scalp was on fire. Usually I chose the quickest option, almost ripping hair out of my scalp on a daily basis.

"The days young, wanna go to the park?" Sam magically reappeared in the door way of the bathroom. I rolled my eyes. Spontaneous events always happened around here. I nodded with one last tug of the brush.

"And off we go!" I announced, grabbing Alex, the keys, and off we went.

The park was in full swing with several birthday parties and children running around like crazed animals. Meanwhile Alex seemed awestruck by all the "big kids" and was busy toddling towards the play ground to notice much around her. Sam and I trailed after her, whispering and joking childishly at the poor parent dressed up as a clown.

"Hey, aren't you Rosabella!" A little girl with beautiful chestnut pigtails asked. I stared down at her, innocent chocolate orbs stared back. I gave her a startled smile, being recognized was rare but when it happened. . .

"Yes I am, and who are you?" I exclaimed, crouching to her level as Sam kept an eye on Alex. She gave me a smile and stuck out a tan hand.

"Aria Halen at your service, ma'ma!" I shook her hand and realized that she was wearing a fancy purple bridal dress. One that fit a flower girls almost-

"Hey, little one! What did I say, we're taking pictures!" A man my age yelled walking over to her. He was cute, tousled honey colored hair and dark brown eyes. And was wearing a tux. I giggled, some couples came to the park for their wedding photos.

"Sorry DL! It's Rosabella though!" the little girl protested, stomping her little foot. I got up and found myself sarting into his eyes. He gave me a weak smile, as if to say he had no choice.

"Sorry about my sister, we have to take pictures for my brother's wedding," DL(?) tried to explain, gripping the girls shoulders. She bit him. Feisty.

"It's no problem at all!" I tried not to laugh, I really did. It was hard to conceal the smile trying to work its way onto my mouth. He winced, not even crying out. Aria release him from her death hold and looked back at me.

"Can we talk after the pictures?" she asked with a twinkle in her eye. She couldn't be a day over seven. I nodded and her brother finally got her to leave. I smiled, they seemed nice. And her brother was just breath taking. I even felt my heart skip a couple beats when I was staring into his eyes.

'Maybe I should get that checked out'
