**Flashback/ Kylie's POV**

"What's up with you?" I asked, looking at my best friend. Rose's brown eyes were wide, and she was currently trying to eat her bottom lip. Yesterday she had shoved over a pile of boxes in the attic and ran off. Everytime I went to check up on her she'd never be home. Or atleast that's what her parents said. I kept my hold on her forearm, staring into her eyes.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Rose's voice broke on "talking". I sighed, blowing my brown bangs into my eyes. She was so childish sometimes!

"Oh really? What was with that stunt on Friday?" I asked, unconsiously rolling my eyes. She stiffened up significantly. Rose also kept glancing back at the group she left. One of them, a seasoned bad boy, was returning those stares. Since when did she make friends with those thugs?

"Nothing!" She exclaimed, trying to twist away from me. I kept my grip, feeling nails dig into her tan skin. Rose returned this with a strangled yelp. I kept trying to look her in the eye but she either shrouded them with her currently red hair or look away.

"Rosabella May Grant!" I pleaded. I just wanted to know what was wrong. Why was she so upset? What'd I do?

"I don't wanna be friends anymore!" her voice came out breathless, and only then did I realize she was crying. I let go in shock. When she turned to face me, she was wiping away the tears running down her face.

"I can't do this anymore. Pretend everything's fine, you know? It's not working! It hurts too much to see you with, with him!" Rose hiccuped, her eyes blood shot and nails digging into her palms. With a stab at my heart I realized she caught us. I didn't mean to fall in love with Oliver. . . It just, well, happened!

"But Rosie, we've been friends forever!" I sobbed, trying my hardest not to ruin my make up. Rose just shook her head back and forth rapidly. Her hands were pressed against her ears; she didn't want to hear it.

"Don't you get it! THAT'S WHY KYLIE! YOU KNEW!" Rose kept repeating the last two words again and again. A crowd had formed around us. We had suddenly become the newest gossip. Most of them were shooting me daggers. Did everyone know that she liked him?

"Just leave me alone, okay?" she whispered, sounding broken. She turned, broke through the crowd, and ran back into the building. Cold stares and harsh whispers greeted me.

"Whore. . "

"How could she do that to her. . ?"

"She's so cold!"

I felt a familiar pain in my chest and started to walk back to my car. I just wanted to go home.
