I guess I'll just share sum personal with yal. I first came across August a few years ago. I suffered from serious depression. I never really had people to talk to, nobody really understood what I was going through. Yal know how black parents is lol. They think everything can be fixed with a little rubbing alcohol, some Tylenol, or whatever. So real life mental issues like went right over their heads lol. Um so yeah music has always been medicine for me, ALWAYS. From Beyoncé, to Leona Lewis, Whitney Houston, Michael & Janet Jackson, Chris Brown etc. The first song of August that I came across was Hard Knock. If yal don't know , I'm from Liberty City, Miami. One of the roughest cities in the U.S. really. So that song stuck with me immediately. Every since then August and his music have been therapeutic to me. So to not ramble, I just wanted yal to understand where my love for this man comes from. Happy Birthday August Anthony ❤️ a real nigga like me love ya yung.
