You slowly opened your eyes. At first all you could see were blobs against a green background. You blinked and everything slowly came into focus. It turned out those blobs were people and the green background was leaves.

"Where are we?" You choked out. Your voice was a little scratchy and you couldn't help but wonder how long you were asleep for.

"(Y/N), you're awake!" Gilbert exclaimed as he gave to look at you. You look at him and give him a weak smile.

It was then you realize you were being carried. You look towards their face and see brown hair and glasses. You couldn't help but smile a bit more. "Hi, daddy."

"Hey, (N/N) how you feeling?" He asked. You thought for a moment before saying the first thing on your mind.

"Thirsty." You said. As soon as you said that Matthew came towards the two of you and opened a canteen. He put it to your lips and slowly tipped it back. Feeling the water slide down your throat was like getting rain in a dessert. You savoured every sip just like the ground would savour every raindrop.

"Thanks. So where are we?" You asked again.

"We're somewhere on our way home. Or more like on our way t-" Gilbert was cut off by a loud bang. You instantly knew what that meant. You were getting close to the battle field. Oh how at that moment you were regretting being there.

"(Y/N), we're in the forest by the battle field." Gilbert finished.

"You mean the forest we took to get to the other side in the first place?" You asked and Gilbert nodded.

"Just we're deeper then we were last time. Don't worry because we already passed the enemy side." Gilbert said and you nodded.

"So how long have I been out?" You asked and everyone looked at each other before Lovino answered.

"You were out for about four days. Some people thought you were going to die but you hung on. I'm happy that you're okay (I/B)." Lovino said as two of the men with you helped him wobble along.

"Glad to see you're still with us as well, Lovino. Did anything brake? Is the bullet out of your leg? Are you okay?" You asked and he rolled his eyes at you.

"I'm fine, bella. The bullets gone and nothing's broken." Lovino says and you nod.

"Okay, last switch over." Your dad declares. At first you don't understand what he means until Gilbert walks over towards you and your dad. "This switch is going to be easier now that she's awake."

You wrap your arms around Gilbert's neck and then your dad lifts your legs so Gilbert can hold you properly. It was as if your dad knew you were too sore to move. Or maybe that was just how you had been being switched over and he was used to helping. Either way you were grateful.

"(Y/N)!" You heard Feliciano yell as your group neared. "Fratello!"

Gilbert sat on one of the cots so he could put you down. After he was sure you were stable he slid off the cot to sit in front of you. Finally looking around at the group you had come with, you noticed that everyone seemed fine and had a couple of cuts and bruises, with you and Lovino as an exception. Feliciano seemed to notice this as well.

But looking around you noticed that there were only about five people in the medical tent that weren't in your group. It was a surprisingly low number considering how many people had been here your first day about two weeks ago. Thinking about it, those two weeks felt a lot longer. But you knew the truth.

"Bruder!" You heard Ludwig say as he came into the tent. Gilbert struggled to his feet and hugged his younger brother. You couldn't help but smile seeing them together.

"Ludwig, I thought you were supposed to be one the battle field." Feliciano said.

"They're retreating. They have been for the past four days. Just about all of them are dead. Their base was destroyed along with most of their soldiers killed." Ludwig said and your eyes widen.

"W- We took down their base? And most of their soldiers?" You asked in shock. What your group did to get free, led to the end of the war.

"Ja, weren't you listening (Y/N) that's exactly what he just said. We are so awesome!" Gilbert cheered and so did the rest of your group. Even the other people in the tent cheered.

But all you could do was sit there. You couldn't believe that all you had been through ended the war. Your little group of eleven, against most of an army. How did you guys pull it off?

"(Y/N) are you okay?" Your dad asked as he came to kneel in front of you. You stared at him for a moment before nodding.

"I'm fine, I just can't believe that eleven of us did that. There was at least a hundred or more men against us. And we beat them." You said.

"Yes and it's all because of you and Gilbert. If you two didn't give yourselves up and did all that you did, then we would have never been able to do that. We never would have gotten out either." Your dad says and you laugh.

"Well you can't only thank us, you have to thank Jarod too." You said and Gilbert bursted out laughing.

"Oh, ja. We absolutely have to thank Jarod, he was pretty awesome but obviously not as awesome as us." Gilbert agreed.

"Wait, who's Jarod?" Matthew asked confused. It was as if everyone was thinking the same question.

"Jarod was and albino German working for the enemy. That was who Gilbert had to go by when he was around other guards. I guess he was pretty good at being Jarod since he didn't get caught." You said and some people nodded and others eyes widened. It was as if they were wondering the odds about another albino German working for the enemy that had just happened to stumble onto our path.

"Jarod was a good man." Gilbert said. "But we were better. Right (Y/N)?"

"Yup, you got that right." You said and smiled. "So can we go home?" I asked looking at my dad.

"I would sure like to. We need to get your back all fixed up as well."

"Wait did Lovino get stitched up yet?" You ask as he came into you mind. "And where is all the people that got wounded?"

"I'm already stitched (I/B)" Lovino said. That worry was but from you brain after looking at him to make sure. But that other question still needed to be answered.

"They were all sent home. We started sending people home yesterday once we were sure that the other side had no reinforcements coming." Ludwig answered and Feliciano nodded in agreement.

The next thing you knew was you could hear cheering coming from outside of the tent. Hearing that you knew that the war was officially over. You could all go home. And your land was to stay free.

That was all you could ask for. That and to go home and see all the people you left behind. Like your mom and hopefully Alfred. Yeah that's all you wanted to do was see them again along with everyone else you knew.
