-If you let her soul burn, she'll come right back to you.

I think I'd miss you even if we'd never met. - The Wedding Date.

Summer Lowal

I woke up the next morning to the smell of eggs and bacon. I softly smiled and got out of Carter's comfortable bed. I grin when I make my outside to see Carter and his mom cooking together, setting the table. Carter sees me and sends me a goofy smile.

"Shrek's awake." I give him a sarcastic smile and sit on one if the chairs.

"Good morning, sweetie, did you sleep well?" Carter's mom asks me while finally sitting in front of me as well for Carter. I smile at her.

"Yes, thank you," I murmur and ignore the small pang of pain still in my chest. I look at Carter for a split second and he could see I wasn't okay. I smiled reassuringly.

I took a plate and put some eggs and bacon and took small bites of the food, seeming my appetite wasn't as big as usual.

"So, how's work? Anything new?" I knew she was trying to strike up a conversation. I knew Carter told her about me. I knew things were pretty fucked up.

"Nothing, same old same old. Works great," I whispered looking down at my food. I stopped eating and felt the tears sting at the back of my eyes.

I blinked them away as I felt a hand on my shoulder. Looking up I give her a small smile. "It's okay, not to be okay," I nodded and gulped while closing my eyes.

The rest of the day went on slowly. I decided I wanted to be alone in my house with one of my favorite bands playing softly in the background. I had on my packers sweatshirt, even though it reminded me of him. It reminded me of Harry. Everything reminded me of him. When I looked at my paintings it reminded me of how intamate we were when he came to my house. I didn't want to even look at my bed because all I could see was both him and I on it.

He was consuming my mind completely. I despised it bitterly.

-

There was a soft knock at my door, opening it up, a blind with blue eyes and a kind smile greeted me. I instantly went to wrap my arms around him.

"My favorite Irish man, what brings you here?" I pull back and he chuckles. I let him in and he digs his hands in his pockets.

"Wanted to check up on you, how are ya feelin'?" I gave him a curtly nod.

"I'm alright, nothing I can't cope with," I lied.

He gave me a look that knew he wasn't going to buy it.

"I'm not believing that one bit." I sighed and shrugged my shoulders.

"He's an arse," I muttered while biting back the tears. His blue eyes gave me sympathy and I brushed it off.

"I can agree with you," I let out a laugh.

"Finally, someone agrees," he cracks a smile.

"But," he pauses and I roll my eyes.

Should've seen that one coming.

"He cares about you," I snort while sitting down. Niall continues to stand in front of me with a soft expression.

"If he so called cared, he wouldn't have kissed that skank. If he cared Niall, he would've tried to call and beg for my forgiveness. It's all a bunch of bullshit, and I'm sick of it," Niall frowns.

"Come on," he stated while taking my hand.

"What, why?" I stopped in my tracks and he just gave me a reassuring look.
