The bitter nip of the midnight air pricked at my skin as I walked away from Tera and Hayden's cabin.My breath danced in front of my face.I carefully picked my way through the dense forest.I trembled as adrenaline pulsed through me my body just waiting for Tera's warning signal that The Dante's had changed direction and were close.I continued for what felt like hours when Tera apeared in front of me.She shifted into her human form.

"The stone wall that marks the boundaries of the Estate is right around that bend a little ways.Your close enough now you don't need me and it's coming up on dawn and you need to get as far away from the Estate as possible by 6am and I need to be heading back so I can play innocent."Tera nodded and shifted back into her wolf form and disappeared.I shuddered as the terrifying feeling of being totally alone set in.I took a deep breath and continued on my way to freedom.As I made my way around the bend the stone wall came into veiw and just above it were gorgoeus pink fluffy clouds and a gold and orange streaked horizon as the sun began to rise.I smiled.Almost out.I sprinted over to the wall and threw my back pack over it.I jumped and grabbed the top of the wall as my feet scrambled against its slick surface as I struggled to pull myself up Finally I pulled myself up on top of the wall but just as I was about to jump down to the other side I lost my balance and fell backwards!Someone caught me.I twisted in the persons arms to see who they were and I came face to face with the person I never thought I'd ever have to see again.Jake.

"Wh-what are you doing here?! Your supposed to be clear on the other side of the Estate!Tera never gave me the warning signal!"I gasped.Jake stared at me for a moment before setting me down but keeping an iron grip on me.

"Tera knew I was following you all along but I informed her that if she warned you of my presence she would be severly punished.She knew she was already in huge trouble for assisting you and her punishment for that would already be severe enough.Any worse and she'd die."He said nonchalantly.I tried jerking away from him but to no avail.

"Why do you want me to stay so bad?!WHATS THE POINT?!"I screamed.Jake growled at me.He slapped his hand over my mouth.

"Dammit!Let.Me.Explain!"He shouted through clenched teeth.I just nodded slowly.Jake sighed.

"So.Me and my family aren't just vampires.We are the Royal Familly!And me being the eldest when my dad retires I have to take over as King and my parents have put me in an arranged marriage with a vampire girl named River because they think she will make the best Queen.But that decision was made hundreds of years ago so ofcourse I totally forgot about it!And when you turn 18 you won't be leaving.You know too much so we can't let you.Also when you turn 18 we will decide whether we turn you and you marry Drake OR if you become a slave to our family.But because of this whole runaway scheme you will most likely end up being our slave untill you die BUT I told Tera to tell Hayden to not fake your death and let me explain all of this to you and it will be our little secret that you tried to runaway so that way instead of living a shitty life as a slave you can live an amzing life as my little brothers wife!"Jake rambled.

"WHAT?!No way in hell am I going to marry Drake and I most definetly will NOT be a slave!"I yelled furiously.

"Well I'm sorry but I did the best I could!If it weren't for me you wouldn't have had an option between wife or slave your only option would have been slave!"Jake shouted back.Dammit! What am I gonna do now?!
