I curled into a ball right in the middle of the path and cried like my life depended on it.My life just kept spiraling downwards and I didn't know how much more I could take.It had to get better at some point...right?I sat up and composed myself.That's when laughing filled my ears.I spun around to see Drake standing there.

"Did you seriously think that was it?"He barked through his laughter.I looked at him confused.

"What do you mean?"I asked slowly.He stopped laughing and looked at me annoyed.

"sweetheart...I made an attempt to murder you a few days ago and I just split you and the love of your life up...do you honestly think I'm stopping there?!"He chuckled.

"wait...so you only said those things so you could.."but he cut me off

"That's right babe.I made you beleive all those things so you would ditch Jake and he would be devasted and your heart would know you truly loved him so you would be torn and then you'd run off and I'd follow and kill you then causing my brother to die and then I find some slut to be Queen and I become King.All part of the plan."He smirked.Wow.He seriously thought through this.But i shook that from my mind as I realized death was literally standing right in front of me.Before I could come up with some way to save myself Drake was standing right behind me with his arms wrapped tightly around my waist.

"But I'm gonna have a little fun with you first."he hissed darkly.

Jake's P.O.V.*gasp I know this probably makes you people excited*

I couldn't beleive this.The girl I loved more than ANYTHING just ditched me because she fell for my brother's stupid act!How could she have been so stupid!All of a sudden an ear shattering scream pierced through the tranquility of the garden and my head snapped up.My gut twisted violently.That was Kyra's scream.I started to run in the direction of her scream but came to a halt.If she was idiotic enough to ditch me practically at my brother's command there was no doubt in my mind she wouldn't scream as if she were in jeopardy because he told her to just to lure me into a trap!That bitch I thought I loved might be stupid but I'm not and I'm not going to fall into my brother's trap so easily.Another scream rang out.I shook my head and chuckled to myself and made my way back towards the mansion.If Kyra really WAS in trouble I still wouldn't save her.She broke my heart.I truly loved her but she obviously didn't feel the same if she did she wouldn't have beleived Drake's words for a second.

"Jake!What's all that screaming?!"Alilah asked panicked running towards me.I shrugged.

"Just Kyra."I muttered brushing past her.But alilah grabbed my wrist and yanked me around to face her.

"You moron!She's in trouble!I was coming to find you two to warn you.Look what one of the maids found in Drake's room!"She spat shoving some papers in my face.I glared at her and glanced at the papers.My body locked up as I finished reading and another pained sounding scream echoed through the air.I took off at a mad dash in the direction of the screams.

"where are you going?!Drake WANTS you to come to her rescue!You could get killed!"Alilah shouted.

"sound the alarm.Send a majority of the guards out to the garden and send the rest to secure the perimeters put the entire place under lockdown!Kyra needs my help and I'll have reninforcements soon enough and if I die....I'd rather it be me than her!" I shouted back She nodded and raced inside and a second later the alarm blared.
