Read My Bloody Lips*Ch.18*

This couldn't be real......tears of joy started to stream down my cheeks.I couldn't form words.I just nodded and finally my mind wrapped around the situation.

"YES!"I squealed leaping from the swing and hugging him.Jake wrapped his arms tightly around me.I could stay here forever.But then a question came to my mind....why me? I pulled away from Jake and looked deep into his sparkling eyes.

"What's wrong?"he asked nervously.I swallowed hard.

"Why me?"I whispered.Jake laughed.He stroked my cheek with his thumb and then leaned in and kissed me softly on the lips.Electricty shot through and I shivered.Jake pulled away and grinned.

"Did you feel that?"he asked and I knew he was referring to that...that..that special ...connection.I nodded.He smiled even bigger.

"That's why.....you're the one for me Ky.....I'd rather die than be with anybody else."he said.I smiled at him.All of a sudden loud clapping came from behind us.Jake glared and I turned around.Drake emerged from behind a willow smirking.

"Bravo!"He shouted bitterly.

"What.Do.You.Want?!"Jake snarled at his brother.

"Wow your stupid.Did you REALLY think River was the ONLY one behind getting rid of you two?"Drake spat.I froze.Drake grinned with satisfaction as he sensed my fear.

"In Fact, River didn't give a damn about you Jakerye but I'm sure you figured that one out.She just wanted to be Royalty...and so did I.So I told her she would very well be Queen.but she had to help me get rid of Kyra.If Kyra died then you my dear brother would have died also leaving ME next in line for the Throne and being River's reward for doing my dirty work would be marrying me and becoming Queen.

Drake shrugged.he turned to look at me.

"And you...are you SURE you want to marry him? I mean come on!You lost the past month of your memory!How do you know he REALLY loves you? For all you know he could be PRETENDING to love you just so you'll marry him and he can be King!"Drake said.I thought for a moment.He was right.The last thing I remember is being at my parents Funeral.Sure I had a couple memories I'd managed to bring back but Drake had a point.For all I know Jake could be taking advantage of my memory loss....

"I-I-I'm sorry Jake..."I croaked as tears filled my eyes as I slipped the ring off my finger.Jake made a choking noise as I held the ring out to him.His green eyes...his soul seemed to be pouring out of them pleading with everything it had for me not to do this.I couldn't take it and I looked away as a sob escaped my lips and the tears began to fall.

"There there...."Drake's voice cooed.I couldn't stand another moment.I yanked my shoes off my feet and took off at a dead sprint away from it all.I had no idea where I was going but I didn't care.All of a sudden a memory played in my head.I was screaming at Jake and I ran from the mansion out into the woods and eventually I fell and a large wolf appeared.It shifted into human form and he comforted me and carried me away...and then the memory was over.I let out a loud sob and picked up speed.So this wasn't the first time Jake has ruined me then I guess.....Drake WAS right.How could I have been so stupid!And to think I almost got engaged to him!

Ky....what about that spark we have when we kiss.....Jake's voice echoed in my mind.More tears fell at the sound of his voice.I slowed down when I reached a path.I folowed the path but I didn't get far before it split off into several different directions.I collapsed onto my knees.

"I'M SO CONFUSED!"
