Recap:

"Hey Cam" I started with a smile.

"Alison, Adrian's been hurt."

"He's hurt? What do you mean??" I paced around my room waiting for Cameron's response.

"There was... an accident" He said.

And just when I thought things were getting better, life had to fuck things up again.

Adrian's POV

"Do you need anything?" I asked.

"No, I think I'm just going to go to sleep" Ali said with a yawn.

"Just call me if you need anything, okay?" She nodded in reply.

Call me selfish, but it made me feel a bit better when I found out that Ali had panic attacks. After what happened last night, I thought she would think of me differently. But I was relieved when our day went by normally. What worried me though is what Ali would have to put up with for the next few days. I thought for now, it was best for her to stay home for a bit, at least until all the gossip about her dies down.

I paced around the living room debating on what to do until Ali woke up when my phone rang. I wasn't bothered to check the caller ID but regretted it immediately.

"Where the fuck are you?! I don't know what you're trying to do but it's not working. You know that I'm going to find you eventually." He yelled.

"You won't be able to find me, so just stop trying." I cut him off and hung up.

I knew this would happen, but I was positive that he wouldn't find me. I lied down in the living room clearing my head. In my head, I kept repeating he's not going to find me, he's not. But deep down, I was just trying to convince myself. I couldn't go back to that life, I couldn't live like that. In fear of every single move that I made, shivering every time a door slammed shut.

Trying to get my mind of things, I decided to go to the mall. Maybe driving around for a bit would help me. I dug the keys out of my pockets and slid into the car.

But I soon began to feel anxious. What if it he was right? I don't know how, but he always found a way to hurt me when I still lived with him. All I knew was that if he found me, he would kill me. And I really really didn't want that to happen. Especially now that I had Ali in my life. I heard a huge screech so I looked up, only to see that I was speeding towards a blue car. And that's the last thing I remembered until I blacked out.

My eyelids were closed but I could tell that it was bright wherever I was. Bracing myself, I opened my eyes and saw white walls. That was always a bad sign.

"You're awake!" Ali cried out in relief.

I looked over at her and saw how awful she looked. Her hair was a mess and she looked like she hadn't slept for days. I tried to reply but my body didn't let me. A doctor came in and told me to rest for a few more hours so I did as he said.

When I woke up I was in Ali's house, but I still didn't remember what had happened to me. I tried to stand up but was stopped by someone.

"Hey, you still need to rest." Ali said as she laid me down again, handing me a glass of water.

"What happened to me?" I asked.

"You were in a car crash two weeks ago but you were lucky to only get away with a few scratches." She said with a sad smile. "Please don't do that again. I was scared shitless."
