Alison's POV
We finished our Netflix marathon at around 5pm and I was starting to get hungry.
"Okay what do you want for dinner? Madison's not going to be home so it's just gonna be us." I asked.
"Ooh, let's cook something." Adrian replied excitedly.
"Do you even know how to cook?" I said with a smile.
"Well no, not really." He admitted.
"Hmm, what do you want to cook?" I asked as I flipped through a cooking book.
"I've been craving spaghetti."
"Then we'll just go and eat at an Italian restaurant." I argued.
"Don't be lazy! We can make it ourselves."
"Fine, but we need to buy the ingredients." I sighed in defeat.
We headed to the car and I slid into the driver's seat. Turning up the radio, I heard the beginning of Jet Black Heart by 5 Seconds Of Summer and I started squealing.
"You alright there?" Adrian asked.
"Shut up." I yelled at him. "This is my jam!"
He shook his head and I swear I heard him mutter 'why do I even like this girl' as he smiled out the window.
"Because I'm amazing." I replied, flipping my hair over my shoulder.
He looked embarrassed, as if I wasn't supposed to hear that which I thought was the absolute cutest thing ever.
I started singing the first verse, and I was really getting into it, singing the guitar riffs and everything. Adrian was watching me with a confused look on his face.
"They're not even that good." He commented, shaking his head.
Oh, he was going to regret that. Luckily I was driving on a quiet road, so I parked the car on the side of the road but left the engine on, so that I could still hear the song.
"Why did we stop?" Adrian asked, unaware of his actions.
"Repeat what you said just then." I said, ignoring him.
"Um, why did we stop?"
"No before that you fucking dumbass." I replied impatiently.
He seemed surprised by my outburst and I almost felt bad, but then I remembered who he was bad mouthing.
"They're not even that good?" He said quietly.
I nodded and continued. "I am letting you stay at my house, I'm feeding you, and I'm letting you use my car. So don't disrespect me, alright? Do you know how easy it is for me to kick you out and let you be homeless?"
"How did I disrespect you?" Adrian asked confused.
"You said that 5SOS aren't that good. And that means that you're disrespecting my babies, which means that you're also disrespecting me. So please keep your negative opinions to yourself from now on, okay?"
He just nodded as I put my foot down on the accelerator and continued driving, as if I didn't just pull over to yell at Adrian for being rude to my favourite band in the entire world. Maybe I was overreacting. But honestly, no one understood how much they meant to me. Fangirl problems.
Adrian stayed quiet the whole way to Coles, like he was scared of me.
"We're good, right?" He said, after a painfully long silence.
"As long as you aren't rude to me, then yeah we're all good."
"Okay good." Adrian said before the awkward silence starts to fill the air.
