Chapter 24

Lyndsey's P.O.V.

I walked out of Raven's room.
I know I had felt her hand twitch. I looked over to where Ashley was sitting. Jinxx had finally came back.
I walked back over to Jake.
"Jake, I don't think I can finish the tour with you guys. I'm sorry," I whispered into his ear.
"It's ok. I understand. Thanks for telling me," he said. He is so sweet. Why can't he just ask me out already?
He pulled me into a hug. He gives the best hugs ever!
"Can I tell you something?" I asked.
Yeah, what is it?" He asked in reply.
"When I was sitting next to Raven, I asked her to give me a sign that she could hear me. She twitched her hand. I know she will fight through this," I whispered so that no one else could hear.
"That's great!" He half yelled, half whispered. "Why aren't you telling a doctor though?"
"I don't know. Maybe because its just a small thing. It could have just been a muscle spasm. You never really know," I replied, looking into Jake's brown eyes.
"I understand. Are you hungry? I saw some healthy foods down in the cafeteria, and I'm starving," he said, which automatically made my stomach rumble.
He chuckled, " I guess that's a yes," he pulled me up and walked me down a few flights of stairs to the cafeteria. It reminded me of school. I hated that place.
I grabbed a couple bananas, a coffee, and a fruit bowl.
Eating healthy isn't me. Jake is rubbing off on me.
Jake grabbed the same things, except coffee. He grabbed a water.
I grabbed Jade, Ashley, Jinxx, and CC a coffee, putting them into a cup holder.
We walked back up stairs and handed out coffees.
This was going to be a long day.
I looked at my phone. I had a couple Facebook notifications. I checked them and looked at the time. We had gotten here at noon. It was only 3 pm. It felt like so much longer.
CC said our of nowhere, "Its almost 4pm. I think we should head back to the hotel and pack up. Jade, Lyndsey, you coming?"
We both shook our heads. Jake got up and gave me a hug.
"Call me before you guys leave so that I can come say goodbye," I said into his chest.
"I planned on it," he replied.
He broke the hug and strode up.
I walked over to Jade and wrapped her into a hug.
"Come on, let's go see Raven," I suggested.
She nodded and we walked in.
I listened to the heart monitor.
There was no heart beat.
