Chapter 30

Ashley's P.O.V.

I felt Raven's hand twitch. When I looked up, she didn't do anything else, so I just left it at that. It was my imagination.
I leaned back down, holding the back of her hand against my cheek.
I looked back up to see her eyes flicker and then close again.
I gasped.
Then, her eyes opened, and they stayed open.
Is this really happening?
She looked over at me, blinked, then smiled.
I smiled back, the first real smile from me since she fell into the coma.
I leaned over and hugged her, determined not to let go.
Finally, I broke the hug. I looked down, and she had tears in her eyes.
"No baby, please don't cry," I whispered, feeling tears well up behind my eyes.
"I can't. I'm so happy to see you. I love you," she squeaked in response.
"I love you too," I said as the tears spilled out of my eyes.
I leaned over and hugged her.
I broke the hug and looked at her.
Through my tears, I saw her beautiful brown eyes.
I couldn't resist.
I leaned down and kissed her with ever ounce of passion I had.
I was never gonna let her go.
