Chapter 16

Hey um I'm going to take Taylor out of this fanfic because she's been annoying af lately and she's been taking things way too far. So...just imagine that Rihanna was there when Katy was doing her pregnancy test because she is wayyyy better & Rih is the best!

Katy's POV

Holy shit, I can't believe he's talking to me. Cameron. My ex. Oh lord what have I gotten myself into...

"U-uh hey, cam. It's been a while." I stutter out shyly. He looks really good to be honest; his light brown hair is still perfectly shifted to the side, just like old times. I look into his blue eyes curiously, wondering why in the world he would be here out of all places. He was never a club kind of guy, he liked the beach and always said that the club made him sick. He lifts his hand up and moves a loose lock out of my face and behind my ear. I broke his heart..I left him when I was 17. I wanted to go to LA; I begged him to tag along but he refused so I kind of just had to end things. It was pretty hard, we were literally inseparable..

"Y-yeah it has. So it looks like you've finally turned your dream into a reality." He smirks and I have a flashback from when we we're just teens.

Flashback:

(When Katy was 17)

"Kate! Come on they won't mind! Your parents loooove me!" My boyfriend Cameron says and I nervously bite my lip. He really wants me to come down to the beach with him and hang out, he's standing at the front door right now. My parents would never let me go with him though...its 7:00 that's like 12:00 to them I swear. As much as I want to say yes, I don't want to face the consequences if I got caught.

"I can't, I'm sorry babe. My parents would kill me." I say sadly and he frowns. My dad suddenly comes into view, rubbing his eyes.

"What's going on here? I'm trying to watch the TV, the new pope is being coronated." He huffs and I step away awkwardly, what am I meant to do now.

"Oh hey, Mr. Hudson. I just wanted to take your daughter down to the beach, I'll look after her." He says politely flashing a kind smile which my dad surprisingly returns. Maybe I can go with him.

"Yeah sure son, just look after her and keep her safe." He pats his shoulder and Cameron shifts his long-ish brown hair so that it moves back in place. I swear to god, he's perfect.

"Thank you sir. I'll see you tomorrow at church." He shakes his hand I walk out the door with him. Oh yeah, and Cameron goes to my church too. That's why my parents like him so much. Both of our parents are friends, that's how I met him.

"Bye, dad!" We walk down the driveway, hand in hand.

"See, I told you. You've gotta trust me with some things." He smirks and I giggle before kissing his soft cheek.

"So what, we're just going to sit on the sand. What are we going to do?" I whine as we walk down the footpath towards the beach which is less than half a mile away.

"Geez you're so judgemental about things you've never done." He huffs and I shrug.

"Whatever. As long as we don't end up soaked in the water." I reply.

"I can't make any promises." He says making me roll my eyes.

We reach the beach and Cameron sits down on the soft gold sand, looking out out at the beach and the pink sunset.

"Come. Sit. Let's just talk." He pats the spot next to him and I sit there.

"You know, you look really pretty with the sun behind you." He brushes his thumb over my face and I blush. I move closer and kiss him on the lips. He pulls out a few moments later. "I love you Kate." He says and my eyes go wide. This is the first time he's ever said that.
