Chapter 7

Katy's POV

"Katy!" John calls from downstairs.

"Coming!" I reply just as loudly as I finish drying my hair.

I walk downstairs in some grey sweatpants and an oversized sweat shirt.

"I was thinking, do you just want to stay at home for the rest of the day?" John asks as I walk into the lounge room and sit down next to him, intwining our hands together.l

"Sure, what's the time?" John looks at his Rolex watch on his right hand before looking up.

"1:30." He replies and I nod my head. Wow, we were swimming for nearly two hours."Katy, I really want to teach you how to cook. At least something simple." He says and I look at him before bursting into laughter.

"Are you sure about that?" I ask through fits of giggles and he nods his head eagerly.

"I'm serious Kate, I really want to make some cheesecake." He smirks and I give him a weird look.

"Okay okay, fine. But...don't get angry if I burn the house down." I warn and he chuckles.

"I'm not going to let that happen." He huffs before grabbing my hand and leading me into the kitchen.

"So do you even know how to make cheesecake?" I ask and he looks up from whatever he's looking for in one of the drawers in the kitchen.

"Of course, I've got a recipe right here." He points to his iPad that's laying on the bench.

"Okay, so what do you want me to do?" I question, having absolutely no idea how to make cheesecake.

"Here you can go and get 3 eggs," he suggests and I walk up to the fridge and get out the right amount.

"Do you want me to crack them?" I ask and he walks over to me, wrapping his hands around me from behind before kissing me on the cheek making me blush.

"Yes, crack them into that glass bowl." He nods at a glass bowl that's a bit further down the bench.

"Mhm." I mumble before cracking the first egg, was to fast making my hand all covered in the egg whites and yolk."Shit!" I whisper loudly before letting out a gasp. John looks over at me and chuckles. I watch as some of the eggshell slips into the bowl.

"Oh Katy, don't worry about it. I'll give you a simpler task." He teases and I roll my eyes playfully, while slapping her shoulder.

"Nope, I'm just going to stay out of the way. I'm happy with watching, so I'll know for next time." I say as I wash my sticky hands with water and soap in the kitchen sink.

"Are you sure Katy? I really wanted to teach you." He whines and I smirk.

"I was doomed from the start John," I chuckle and he laughs.

"Fine, but you have to watch and learn." He starts cracking some eggs into a new bowl. I stand up straighter and lean my palms on the cold marble bench, watching John's every move.

...

"Yum this is so good, John!!" I melt at the taste of the mouth-watering cheesecake that I'm eating.

"Glad you liked it!" He says happily as he eats from his own. Once we're done eating I take both of our plates and wash them up. I walk back over to him and move to his lap, kissing his lips passionately.

He smirks into the kiss before pulling me into him closer so that now I'm straddling his waist. I pull back out of our kiss, kinda out of breath before smiling at him.

"Katy, I was just wondering...how many kids do you want to have?" John asks totally catching me off guard, I furrow my eyebrows starting to think.

"Well I don't know, maybe two." I reply, biting my lip afterwards before pecking his lips again.
