Chapter 3:

Today the day! Where a girl's wildest dreams come true, where one becomes the princess from their favorite fairy tale... Not.

At the moment Farrah is shaking worse than a freaking chihuahua, people are running around her like wasps fixing her hair and makeup to perfection, I feel so lucky that I'm not in her position right now; I can barely handle what their doing to me let alone could I bare with more than 5 people storming around me.

In a couple of hours we'll be on our way to the church, and then off to the party.

"Goody for me"

As you can tell I'm not in a peachy mood today, quite a pissed off in fact. Well actually I'm always like this on weddings days I just can't stand all the emotion, it's way too much for an in-sensitive soul like mine, the crying, hugging, laughter and jealousy are to bipolar for my likening.

It's not like I have a heart of stone either, sure I feel glad that my big sister has finally found her other half, but I don't see the reason why people have to make such a big deal about it, like seriously she not leaving for Mexico or anything of the sorts.

**************************

After hours of torture (aka getting ready), we are finally at the church waiting in a room while the guest are getting sited.

"Breath in... Breath out...breath in...breath out" Farrah said while puffing air like a mad woman.

Looks like its time for me to step in and do my job as not only as her sister but also as maid of honor...

"Farrah, calm down, you're getting married to Angelo, not some complete stranger!"

"Yes I know that,... But what happens if he just leaves me? I really don't think I could handle that..." She said while sitting down in a chair.

I walked over to her and squatted down (which let me just say is quite hard to do in heels), I grabbed one of her hands and said softly while looking into her scared eyes.

"Farrah do you really think that Angelo would just leave you after all these years? Don't you see the way he looks at you when you walk into a room? The way he talks about you? If he really wanted to leave he would have done it a long time ago, not minutes before you say 'I do' " After all that rant I couldn't handle the soapy mood "Now stop moping around and being such a drama queen and get your ass up from that chair and say fucking 'I DO' before I slap you "

Aaa now that feels a bit better

After looking at me with wide eyes, Farrah did exactly what I told her without a word of discussion . I just chuckled and thought 'same old Farrah '

You see the thing with me and Farrah is that she might be the oldest but I have always been the one to stick up for her when people bullied her around, I would make her smile when she was down, in other words, I have always been her shield and sword. It doesn't matter that I'm 25 and she's 28, I'll always be the strong one for both of us...

"Angelo Wilson, do you take Farrah Jackson in holy matrimony? "

"I do." said Angelo with that same sparkle I was talking about before.

"And you Farrah Jackson, do you take Angelo Wilson in holy matrimony?"

With happy tears in her eyes, Farrah answered "I do"

"Then I declare you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride"

And with that Angelo dipped my sister and kissed her with passion.

With that, they left the church running and went to the limo.

Well, I guess that means it's party time. Yeii! (Note my sarcasm)

While I was getting to my car I could have sworn that from afar I saw a head of honey brown curls...

No I can't be I must be going crazy, but he was at the rehearsal dinner... Oh, but who gives a fuck!

With that thought in mind, I started the engine of my car and speeded out the parking lot.

**************************

I arrived at the party just when the sun was setting, the sky was full of pinks and oranges all around, it was beautiful. Just like in the rehearsal dinner the place looked straight out of a fairy tale. Lights and roses spread everywhere.

I went to take my seat with my parents, like yesterday, but luckily for me, they weren't sitting down yet. So I decided to whip my phone out and check my calendar.

"Ugg only two days left for my vacation to end." I said to myself.

I'm a graphic designer and I absolutely love my job, but I despise the people who work with me there just plain rude, always leaving me to do all the work. That's why I was only given a week of vacations, because of my sister's wedding, but as soon as this all over it's back to the drawing board, literally.

Clin clin clin

The noise of a spoon tapping a glass took me out my thoughts. Everybody started to sit in their chairs (which included my mother and father) and looked up at the newly married couple.

"I just wanted to thank you all for coming and being a part of this important day of our lives." said Angelo with a mic in his right hand.

"Yes we are truly fortunate to have such wonderful friends and family, well with that being said let the party begin!" added Farrah

**************************

2 hours, I have been here 2 freaking hours of my life, sitting at my table like a total loner (which I kinda am, since I live alone but that's not the point!), not a single person has asked me to dance. And to not look so depressing I would stand up from time to time to eat a strawberry covered with chocolate from the buffet table or I'd go to the restroom. But surely someone has noticed that I haven't been on the dance floor once the entire night.

"What are you ranting about? You knew since the beginning of the day that this would happen! It's not the first or the last time that this will happen." Screamed my subconscious in my head.

This is one of the many reasons why I hate weddings because while everyone is dancing along with their partner having the time of their life, I'm always sitting by myself hoping that at least one of my cousin will ask me to dance.

Wait! What?! Even my little nephews are dancing together!

"Oh no, that's the last straw! I'm totally out here! I have completed my service as sister and maid of honor, Farrah will understand if I leave now, and if she asks I'll just say that something came up." I thought while I was putting a couple of things in my clutch.

I was just about to stand up and leave when someone magically appeared in front of me with one hand in front of them and asked:

"Would you care to dance?"

DUN DUN DUN!
Don't hate me for the cliffhanger! Who's the guy that has asked Alva to dance?? Guess 😏😱

Well, that's enough of me, hope you guys liked the chapter!

Love ya
