Time passed by quickly and before I knew it, it was already lunch time and for my bad luck, Jane invited me to lunch.

"Hey, Alva want to join me and Dane for lunch?" Just as she asked the question Sterlyn replied.

"Yeah Alva, let's go, I would love to meet your friends." He answered as if he were also being invited.

"Umm, I believe the invitation was for me, not for you." I replied in a harsh tone.

"Oh don't worry about it Alva, your 'friend' whose name I don't know can come along." What the hell was she doing?! I thought it clear that I did not want him to come.

Sterlyn took the opportunity to his advantage: "The names Sterlyn Maxell and I would love to come." With that said he practically dragged me out of my chair and to the elevator with Jane walking right behind us.

Dane met up with us at the restaurant. We luckily got a table pretty fast, the only downside was that I had to sit next to the Sterlyn but he seemed pretty happy about. After we were seated we order our food and then we all just started talking.

"So Sterlyn what does your company produce anyways?" Dane asked a little bit after we received our food.

"We specialize in areal transport materials, like the wings of planes, the motors of helicopters, things like that."

"Oh that's cool, do you actually make the transports?" Jane asked.

"Well about a year ago we have started to make private helicopters." He replied.

"Wow, I bet you're going to take Alva on a ride in one as a date." I kicked Jane under the table after she had said that, she shrieked in a bit of pain.

"We're not dating." I stated firmly.

"Well if it were up to me I would gladly take her on a ride." He jerked in with a smirk that suggested he wasn't just talking about a helicopter ride.

I just rolled my eyes at his response. Wasn't it enough that I was dragged here? Now I have to put up with Jane suggesting things and Sterlyn bothering the hell out of me! If it wasn't for the good food I honestly would have left.

I decided it was best to change the subject: "So do you have everything ready for the wedding?" I asked.

"Yeah pretty much, only a couple of details here and there need to be resolved. I suppose that you already got your dress and date, right?" she said the last part while she quirked up one of her eyebrows.

My eyes opened like saucers, I stilled hadn't gotten the dress and as for a date I never went with one (reason number one as to why I am an embarrassment to my mother).

I answered as neutrally as I could so that I didn't give away that I had neither: "I'm working on it."

"In other words, you don't have a dress nor a date." Damn, she knew me too well. "Well, the first you're on your own, as for the second I can fix that right now" I just stared at her, not quite understanding yet.

She turned her head over to Sterlyn and said: "I'm more than sure that Sterlyn would love to go with you."

After Jane said that I almost spit my drink out. I looked at her with a death glare and told Dane and Sterlyn that we were going to the restroom and then proceed to drag her there.

Once we were in there I exploded with questions.

"What the hell Jane?! Why did you just say that?! I am not and will not go to your wedding with that douche!" I shouted. Fortunately for me, there wasn't anybody in the restroom.

"Hey! He doesn't seem like a douche to me, he actually seems really nice and hot, honestly, if I didn't love Dane I would defiantly tap that. And as for what I am trying to do is get you a date, aren't you the one that is always having an awful time at weddings because you don't have one? And it seems to me that he would be a great guy to go with." She retorted back.

"You only say that because you don't really know him." I answered back like a dramatic teenaged girl that didn't want to lose an argument.

"Well from what I have gotten to know so far I think that he is great for you and he seems very interested. I mean haven't you seen the way he looks at you? Because that's all I saw the entire morning at your desk. And to me, it looks like you two have great chemistry. So enough of this childlike behavior, I'm going back, I still haven't finished my pasta and I won't dare let Dane stick his fork into it." With that said she left me in the restroom completely stunned.

I just stood there looking at myself in the mirror thinking about what Jane had just said. Could she be right?... Maybe he had changed and I just wasn't seeing it... but that still doesn't mean that I should forgive him for what he did, I just couldn't, it wasn't that easy to just forget something like that. Whether I liked it or not I still had things from my past that bothered me I couldn't just leave everything in the past like I wanted to do, at someday I would have to confront it.

But that day was not today.
