Shubman kept pulling Ishan back by his wrist until Ishan finally bumped into his chest.

"Kya ho gaya tereko? Menu yaad nahi aa raha, kya kaand kiya maine abhi?" Shubman asked, looking thoroughly confused.

Ishan smiled at that, turning his head just enough to glance at Shubman before looking ahead again. Can't he even let me be shy? Does he really think I'm angry with him?

"Main kya hamesha naraz rehta hoon tumse?" Ishan teased.

"Nahi nahi, aisi baat nahi hai. Tu toh ekdum sunshine personality hai..."

Suppressing a grin, Ishan tried to snatch his wrist back from Shubman's grip. Truth be told, he loved it-well, almost all the time-when he managed to turn Shubman into such a fool, still desperately trying to coax Ishan.

Shubman then dropped his head onto Ishan's shoulder from behind, his fingers still wrapped tightly around his wrist. "Baby, sun toh..." he muttered softly.

"Jao, nahi sunta," Ishan replied, barely managing to hold back his laughter.

"Kya kar diya maine, yeh toh bata de?"

"Tumne... umm... tumne..." Ishan paused, trying to manufacture a valid point.

Before he could invent one, Shubman grabbed his other wrist, pulling him into a complete back hug and clasping his hands together. He buried his face into the side of Ishan's neck, causing Ishan to freeze, his posture instantly straightening.

"I am tired, yaar," Shubman sighed. "Jaldi jaldi yeh shaadi ho jaye... phir hum ek saath rahenge, ek hi room mein. I miss college wale din."

Hearing that boyish tone with its slight whine melted Ishan's already soft heart. He leaned back against Shubman, closing his eyes. "Hmm... I miss that too, Shubi. Mujhe bhi bas tumhare paas aane ka intezaar hai."

Shubman opened his eyes halfway, glancing sideways at Ishan before his gaze drifted down to his neck. "Inna gora chitta kivein hai tu?" he murmured, softly dragging his nose from the nape of Ishan's neck up to his ear. Ishan trembled slightly.

"Humari M-Maa bhi... toh..." Ishan's words trailed off. He knew that if he kept speaking, he would either stutter or his voice would turn embarrassing.

Shubman pulled him even tighter against his chest, holding him as close as possible. "Ishi... tujhe pata hai..." he breathed out.

He caught himself before the rest could spill over-how desperately he wanted to make love to Ishan, how he was dying for that moment, and how, even if anyone called him a shameless tharki, he was still counting down every second until they were finally together.

He didn't do anything after that; he just kept holding Ishan tight, both of their eyes closed.

In his head, Ishan was anticipating what would come next. Would Shubman actually do something to him here? They were in Yashaswi's kitchen. Remembering that brought back why he had come here in the first place-to get some water. And now Shubman had followed him.

That meant the rest of the group was probably already coming up with something stupid and naughty in their heads. None of them even needed a hint; they were all far too good at cooking up their own wild imaginations. He really needed to go back.

But did he want to move away from Shubman? Not even a centimeter.

So he brushed the overthinking aside. Let them think whatever they wanted; he loved this feeling way too much. He intertwined their fingers within the back hug, holding on tight.
