Shubman spotted Ishan sitting by the campus Nescafé, nibbling on a pen while typing furiously on his laptop.

Shubman froze for a second, his heart doing an involuntary somersault. “Ask him for a date,” he muttered under his breath.

“It’s not rocket science. Just do it.”

Taking a deep breath, he squared his shoulders and started practicing in the air.
“Ishan, will you go on a date with me?” he said in a formal tone, then winced. “Too uptight, Gill. Chill.”

He tried again, this time with a casual wave.
“Maggie khaane chale?”
He groaned, facepalming. “What am I saying?”

Shubman peeked at Ishan again, who was lost in his work, completely unaware of the nervous wreck observing him.

Ishan shifted slightly, his lips pursed as he chewed on the pen, and Shubman felt his knees go weak.

“ It’s like he’s trying to kill me!”

Clutching his chest dramatically, Shubman muttered, “Haaye... ek din meri saans chali hi na jaaye.” He stood there, rooted, his feet unwilling to move closer.

Memories of his nervousness the day he had confessed to Ishan came rushing back.

" behenchod... Kya itna mushkil hai?
KYUN ITNA MUSHKIL HAI.."

His palms were already sweaty.

“No, no, not now. I’ll mess it up. Besides, we share a room now so darshan to ho hi jayenge....”

He turned to leave but then paused, smacking his forehead lightly. “Wait, I can ask Gulati ( ye wale Rahul ka surname ).

He’s 3 months older; he must’ve taken someone on a date before. Maybe he’ll have advice.”

With that, Shubman retreated, still stealing a final glance at Ishan, who remained oblivious to the chaos he was causing in Shubman’s head.

As Shubman walked away, he muttered to himself, “Shubman putr, you better figure this out soon.

Roommate advantage bhi ek limit tak kaam karega, kyunki muh to mujhe hi kholna hai ”

Shubman marched into Rahul's room, determined to get some advice about taking Ishan on a date.

But the moment he stepped inside, he froze. Rahul was hopping around like an oversized grasshopper, flailing his arms dramatically.

Shubman frowned, crossing his arms. "Abee, kya hua? Aise kyun kood raha hai?"

Rahul paused mid-jump, pointing at a corner with wide eyes. "Ch-chipkali, yaar!"

Shubman raised an eyebrow, glancing at the corner. Sure enough, a tiny lizard was perched on the wall, looking utterly unimpressed with the chaos it had caused.

Shubman smirked. "Abee, sala, itna bada hoke chhipkali se darta hai?"

Rahul's face turned red as he backed further into the room. "Bhai, tu nahi samjhega. Woh ghoorti hai! Woh badla lene aayi hai!"

Shubman rolled his eyes and muttered under his breath, "Ye to school waale Rahul se bhi chomu nikla…"

Ignoring the lizard drama, he walked up to Rahul and got straight to the point. "Acha sun, mujhe ek advice chahiye. Date pe kaise leke jaate hain kisi ko?"

Rahul, still eyeing the lizard suspiciously, gave Shubman a deadpan look. "Meri shakal dekh ke tujhe lagta hai main kabhi date pe gaya hunga?"

Shubman tilted his head, pretending to think. "Sahi bola. Teri chhipkali se fatt rahi hai, aur main bhi kis chomu se puchh raha hoon."
