Hey there! New update? YEAH! Is it interesting? Read and find out.......

I stared at Alexa, who just stared back at me.

"I know four year olds who do a better job insulting than you," said Alexa, rolling her eyes. "Since I'm a good person, I'm gonna help you. Say it with me now, stewwww-pid..."

"Soooouuuuuup-pid," I retorted, staring her down.

"Stoooooop it," said Jacob, coming between Alexa and I. He shouldn't have. I could have taken her head on. So what if she was half my age? That didn't mean anything.

"Okay, Jakey," she said, batting her eyelashes at him. "I'll be the mature one and stop. But you'd better keep an eye on your princess there. If she gets any redder, Marco will be cutting her up and using her for salad."

The split second Jacob turned to look at me was enough for that little she devil. She snuck past him and stomped on my foot. Hard. After being beat up by Gerard, who practically crushed me.

"OW! Screaming sharks!" I yelled, clutching my throbbing appendage, and hopping around like a bunny on steroids. "What is wrong with you?"

She opened her eyes wide and stared at me.

"I was just trying to help you say a bad word. Usually, when someone steps on your foot, you scream in a colourful language. I just wanted to see if it worked on you. Obviously it didn't."

I glared at her. This girl was the devil reincarnated into the body of an eight year old female. Kyle and Sam weren't much help either. They were standing by cautiously, wanting to help, but not wanting to get on the bad side of the monster that was Alexandra.

"You are a really troublesome girl you know," I said, still holding my foot.

"I don't really think you-" started Jacob, but I shut him up with a wave of my hand.

"You're a spoilt little brat who has no compassion or consideration for those around you. You think that just because you're close to the royal family, you can treat everyone like they're something you scraped from the back of your shoe. Well, let me tell you know that you can't do that. Everybody has the right to be considered as an equal. After all, we were all created with eyes, ears and other body parts. Why should you get to look down on anybody else?"

After I'd made that speech, I expected Alexa to throw a tantrum or get annoyed. She did none of those things. She just stood there, smiling. You heard me right, smiling.

"I've made up my mind now," she said, still with that creepy grin on her face. "I like you. You're spunky. According to what I heard from the others about you before you were kidnapped, you were quite the brat yourself. But I think that that knock to the head must have changed you."

She started to walk away.

"Oh and by the way," she added, looking over her shoulder. "You'd better watch out. Nobody speaks to me like that."

***************************************

You know when you've just watched a very scary horror movie and you're practically creeping around in fear of awakening the giant zombie spider or whatever it is that you're scared of? Yeah, well multiply that by a hundred and you're still nowhere near the terror I felt after I heard Alexa's threat.

Louisa was up and running after a few days, and she 'graciously' accepted to be my tutor again. Not that she had much of a choice. Apparently, King Richard can be very convincing when he needs to be. Although being king may or may not have something to do with that...

Anyway, it was back to class for me. Somehow, between Kyle, Sam, Jacob and Henry (who showed them the pretty impressive bruising I had given him), they managed to convince King Richard and Gerard that I wasn't a completely hopeless student and that three lessons a week was too much for me to handle.

So now, I took lessons with Louisa five times a week, and combat classes with Gerard on Saturdays, with Sundays still scheduled as my day off, so to speak.

Louisa had decided that after my atrocious performance during King Richard's assessment, she needed to go over everything we had learnt. Therefore, I was now sitting in front of Louisa, chatting with her, as if she were a guest at a dinner party I was holding. If guests were paid to find fault with every little thing you did, that is.

After a few minutes of idle chatting, Louisa called for the tea. One of the maids hurriedly brought it in, almost falling over in her haste to escape from Louisa's death glare. I covered my mouth with my hand to keep from giggling.

"Not with your hand Rosa," chastised Louisa. "If you really need to cover your mouth, use a handkerchief, or better still, use a fan." She took her own fan out and fluttered, making her point. I bravely ignored the childish voice in my head telling me to stick my tongue out at her.

I took my cup of tea, had a whiff, and immediately set it back on the table. I knew Louisa's favourite tea usually didn't sit well with me, but it had never been that bad.

The woman in question didn't seem to notice anything was wrong until she took in a large mouthful and immediately spat it out again, right onto the white sundress I had been forced to wear.

"WHAT WAS THAT?" she bellowed, wiping her mouth furiously with the edge of the tablecloth. "SOMEONE TRIED TO MURDER ME!"

She turned to me. "It was you, wasn't it? You're the guilty one. You weren't satisfied with making me look like a fool in front of the king; you just had to play a new prank, didn't you? I bet you asked your little maid friend to help you? The two of you thought it would be fun to do this. Did you ever stop and think about how your pranks affected me? How you made me feel? Well, I wonder how 'fun' it will be to have nobody teaching you etiquette. I only stayed here because of my loyalty to the king, but I won't stand for this any longer. I quit!"

Tears pooled in her eyes, as she hiked up her long skirts to her ankles and ran out of the room through another doorway. Guards came inside to find out what was wrong, but all they found was me sitting there in a tea stained dress, looking shell-shocked.

During Louisa's rant, I had never been able to open my mouth to speak once. Her words had struck me though. I had never once thought of Louisa as a person with feelings, who also needed love, care and compassion. I had always thought of her as a strict governess who needed to loosen up and have a little fun for once in her life. I had never once tried to put myself in her shoes, teaching a student who didn't want to learn.

I'm just as bad as Brianna, I thought. She's mean, and rude, and I was horribly cruel to Miss Johnson. No wonder she thinks I pulled that prank!

Kyle, Sam and Jacob ran up to me.

"Emily?" said Jacob. "Emily, speak to me!" He slapped my cheek. It stung, but it brought me back to reality.

"I'm fine," I answered, getting up and smoothing the creases in my stained dress. "There's just somewhere I really need to be."

I really enjoyed writing this chapter, especially the first part. I can relate to Emily there, especially since I argue with my four year sister all the time. The strange thing is, she actually wins most of the time. Sad.

Anyway, what do you think of the lesson with Louisa? Is she just overreacting? And what will happen when Emily confronts her? Stay tuned to find out.
