How many of you love the new cover as much as I do? It's amazing right? It's by GreaterWorks, so a shout out to her! This story will be put on hold officially as of next week Saturday. I may or may not update the next chapter in the middle of the week. The good news is that the story is only on hold for three months whilst I'm at school. It isn't really that long, as compared to other stories on here. Sorry!
I woke up at five o'clock, stretched and yawned. Gerard had insisted that I started lessons at six o'clock time, since I was at my best in the morning. I beg to differ, but come on, who gets up to fight this early in the morning? A mentally deranged person, that's who! Then again, I was doing the same thing so...
Kianna had been informed of my schedule and she knocked at the door at the same moment I rolled out of bed.
"Come in!" I yelled. Kyle and Samuel had been assigned a small room that was a few doors down, at my insistence. I was on the highest floor of the castle, which was heavily guarded. Nothing was going to happen to me.
Kianna entered, closely followed by my mum and Adwoa. They all looked well put together. The same could not be said for me. I had crusty eyes and drool at the corner of my mouth. The bags under my eyes were beginning to resemble suitcases and I felt like I would drop at any second.
Mum and Kianna sat on my bed whilst Adwoa started a bath for me. She finished quickly enough and I stripped and entered the hot water gingerly. Adwoa had stopped trying to help to bathe me a long time ago.
After twenty minutes, I walked out with a towel wrapped around me. That was the cue for Kianna, Mum and Adwoa to start getting me ready. Kianna did my makeup, Mum worked on my hair and Adwoa had gotten my clothes, which she was ironing somewhere in the castle. I had a banana and some orange juice from the fridge for breakfast.
Thirty minutes later, I was ready to go. Jacob appeared at my door with Kyle and Samuel. They escorted me to the training room, where Gerard was looking around with an annoyed look on his face.
"Finally!" he said, looking exasperated. "I told you to be here by six o'clock. It's six oh one. And what's that on your face? Makeup?"
I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. Gerard would not be pleased if he saw me do that, and I did not particularly desire to have any more bruises decorating my body.
"Let's begin," he said.
This time, he taught me how to throw punches. He told me never to tuck my thumb into my fist, or else I'd be likely to break it. Once I'd got the hang of it, after about three hours, he taught me how to block punches, and other basic defence mechanisms. At around one o'clock, he finally let me go for lunch. I made a brief stop at my room, for a quick shower and fresh clothes, and I followed Jacob to the kitchens.
***
This time round the kitchens were filled with workers, who were scurrying around, obeying the orders of Marco, who looked like he was really in his element. He was sweating, since the place was hot, but he looked like he really enjoyed what he was doing.
I snuck up behind him and shouted BOO!
He dropped the spoon he'd been holding and clutched his hand to his heart.
