Chapter 7

All ready two weeks had gone by. I could not believe as to how fast it went. dad is takeing me to a concert before i leave in two days. it kills me that I have to leave, but school would be starting soon and i would love to see my friends.

I looked into the mirror one last time to see how my outfit came together. I was wearing a white tank with a black vest (its not really a vest i just dont know what the lil cover over thing is called) skinny jeans black flat boots and a silver necklace that went over my chest and stopped right at my bra line. I was quite saticfied. it was cute yet casual.

"Beautiful." my thoughts were interupted when i turned to see dad leaning against the dorr frame. I smiled sweetly at him as he reflected it back.

"Thanks." he walked over and kissed me on the forehead. I looked up into his big brown eyes. They started to dance as a small tear started to roll down his scruffy cheek.

"dad are you crying?" i wrapped my arms around him huggung him. "No sprot, i just got something in my eye." i laughed. "yea right, you know i am a lot smarter than i use to be."

he started to laugh now. he wrapped his strong arms around me. I missed this close father daughter moments we use to have. A dad makes his daughters feel safe and at home. They are the protection of the princess.

"I hust, cant believe as to how much you have grown since the last time you were here. you have definitely turned into a beautiful young lady." his voice was so tender and calm, and my face was bright red from blushing.

He let go of me and started walking to the door before stopping and glancing back at me. "we better hurry up if we wanna make it to that concert" I chuckled to myself and then i stopped and thougt about it, "Hey dad what concert are we going to anyway?" He winked at me. "you will soon see."

I looked at him confused. and before i knew it he was out of my room reading down the stairs. "Hey! whats that suppose to mean?" I quickly started to run after him.

I kept pacing my room over and over again. I ran my hands through my hair out of frustration. I  was going crazy! I mean dont get me wrong I'm glad she went to go see her dad, its been a while, nut im missing her like crazy! I dont want to bother her with text messages because I dont want to be some psyco creep bothering her while she is having fun.

There was a knock at my door. "Charlie? you in there?" it was the soft voice of my mother on the other side of the door.

"Yea mom" she opened the door slowly peeking in. "Honey its late, you should get some rest." I sighed and sat on my bed, trying to relax. Mom came over and sat next to me. "I know you miss her, but she will be home in two days, try to relax so you dont look like a zombie when you see her." she smiled showing her straight white teeth. How does she always manage to know what I'm stressing about?

"Yea I know.." was all I could manage to say. "Honey.... you should really tell Emma how you really feel? who knows she might actually have the same feelings?"

I looked up into her bright amber eyes, that wee gleaming. "Its not that simple mom. she already has a boyfriend, and loves him, although I dont know why, he is a complete asshole."

"I know baby, but you know as well as I do that he will end up breaking her heart and who will be the night and shining armor?"

A small smile appeared on my face. I liked the idea of being Emma's night and shining armor, but I hate the fact of seeing her hurt. "you will my sweet boy."

She sighed a little uneasy and patted my thigh before getting up and walking to the door. "Thanks mom.." Her short brown curly hair bounced as she walked. "your welcome honey, get some rest now ok."

"Yes ma'am, night." she nodded closing the door behind her.

dad and I were singing and laughing the whole way home. I was wearing a t-shirt we bought that read, 'thats my dad' with an arrow pointing to my left. and dad was wearing a t-shirt that read 'thats my daughter'  with and arrow pointing to his right.

The concert was so much fun! I had never seen my dad dance so much, he was definitely going to be sore in the morning. Dad also bought one of the CD's, so we were blasting the speakers in the car.

"Hey, sport you remember seeing that guy crowd surf? He was so drunk!" I started laughing even harfer than I was before, "Yea i know!"  I shook my head thinking of the guy as people started to pass him over the crowd, and him yelling "I LOVE JESUS!"  i have no idea what that has to do with a rock concert, but hey, thats why they call it being drunk?

We finally pulled up the house. I walked in and got attacked by skipper who was barking, and wagging his tail happily. "Hello to you too buddy." I patted his head and turned to see dad walking in through the front door.

I ran over and gave him a big hug burrying my fave in his chest. "Thanks dad, for the concert, it was so much fun!"  he stroked my hair tenderly. "Welcome sport."

I stood up on my tip toes and kissed him on the cheek. "Night dad." I said, starting to head off to my room.

"Night sport, sleep tight." he waved at me before I turned the corner.
