Ever had to make a plan?
A detailed plan which really you had to put everything into it for it even to seem like you have some chance of achieving it?
Well that's what Zack and I had to do. After we got that map, we weren't going to go charging off like we had before. We needed to know which way was the best way. I'm not going to lie and say we were good at it, far from it. We hadn't had to do something like it before in our lives. I was use to my instincts and hoping to get lucky and Zack was use to his wisdom but this was something we had not done before but I tell you it certainly wasn't our last either but more about that later.
We needed to think, get our heads down and hope that what we came up with would do the job and do it right. We had the map, Actros said it would be easy with the map but Zack didn't trust him and to be honest neither did I, not completely. A plan was needed and that was exactly what we did.
We had got far enough away from the tower before we decided to look at the map. We found a small area which hid us away from the chaos of Sinistral, a part which is a lot quieter, Zack had known about it for some time. He hadn't gone far through Sinistral but he knew the best hiding places, better then that Actros guy to be honest.
We didn't know where to start this was by far the biggest map you could ever imagine. Zack and I both tried to make sense of it, our eyes wondering over the huge piece of paper trying to find just where we are on the map.
There were never ending lines that seemed to have no end to them. Old images that were faded and didn't make any sense. The paper itself was crumpling away. Was all this really in Sinistral?
There are names of places that had to be made up. I didn't understand any of it my head started to hurt I couldn't focus. I couldn't make much out of it at all.
Zack suddenly pointed to the top of the map, a small image of the tower but he had pointed down a bit and I couldn't quite make out much anyway.
"That's where we are," he said.
"Zack, are you going to really tell me what he did back there?" I ask.
"Just focus, Cayden. On the task at hand!" he snaps at me.
As Zack continued to examine the map I couldn't help but wonder why he wouldn't talk about it. I knew kind of what happened so why didn't he tell me exactly what happened?
"How come you can make out the map more then me?" I ask.
"You know why," said Zack.
"Your eyes," I whisper.
"Yeah."
It suddenly darned on me. Lucas had done this to Zack to cause him pain, make him scared of him but he had made one big mistake. He had no idea that it has actually worked in our favour. I can hardly make out the map but Zack can because of his eyes. Wait till Lucas figures that out. It be something worth seeing, I knew that for sure.
"What you thinking?" Zack asked.
"I was actually thinking about Lucas's face when he figures out one of his ways of causing you pain has back fired on him," I say softly.
"Yes, you could see it like that."
"Sorry, I don't know how painful it was. I shouldn't have thought that," I whisper.
"Calm down, Cayden its alright. I would of thought the same thing," he smiles.
"We need to make a plan, which way is the safest route," I say changing the subject because its clear that subject is rough right now. Maybe he will tell me in time but for now I must trust him.
