Ever looked at something and come to some kind of conclusion that it looks or sounds normal? Well that's what Zack did. He looked at the map, studied it with his good vision and came to that conclusion that Hill Side Bridge sounded like it wouldn't be that bad.

I mean, I didn't really know what it was called or what it looked like on the map, I didn't have good vision like he did. But from what I gathered back then, it looked normal but maybe we were fools thinking anything could be average in Sinistral.

At the time I wasn't all with it. I mean I wanted to go back the other way but Zack had convinced me to focus on the mission at hand and we could save my real parents after we destroyed the core. My heart was still wanting to turn back, head back to the tower but I knew Zack was right deep down inside my gut.

That's why when Zack had convinced me to carry on, I did. If I hadn't had that feeling, I wouldn't have continued. Half of me now thinks maybe it would have worked out better that way but the other half of me is glad I carried on with Zack just all that had came in Hill Side Bridge back then, wasn't pretty.

I put one foot in front of the other, each step like stepping on sharp edges of a rock. My shoes had been through so much since arriving in Sinistral they had holes in. The ground being as hot as it is, my feet had burn marks forming. I had only noticed when Zack and I stopped for a five minute break.

"We should be nearly there," Zack whispered, clearling knowing I'm still not happy with him. I turn my head slightly too him as I rub my feet with my broken up trainers laying on the floor next to me. I had to take them off, too see the damage.

"Are you wearing the same clothes you died in?" I asked wondering, it only just darning on me that we woke up with clothes on.

"Yeah," Zack answered.

"Me too.."

"We all do," Zack states as he gets to his feet looking down at me frowning and adding, "No one knows why."

My mind was split in two, I was focused on getting to the core however there was a voice trying to push through telling me to turn around to go and find my parents but I pushed that aside and ignored it.

I didn't say anything after that. I put my trainers back on and got to my feet. I let Zack lead the way with the map in his arms as we got closer. We finally reached what Zack had pointed out when he was making the route.

You either go towards the town which I don't even know if it has a name, Zack didn't tell me that part or there are all these other paths that track off, making the journey three times as long. We had passed by quite a few paths going off track but this is the last one.

We go forward straight into the town or turn left down a path cutting around the town but that would take up to another day and half to reach. Through the town would take a lot less then that. That's what Zack had said.

Zack folded the map up making it as small as he could before putting it in the back of his jean pocket. "Straight ahead is Hill Side Bridge."

"Is that what its called?" I ask.

"Yeah."

"Sounds normal for it to be in a place like Sinistral,"  I joked.   Zack agreed and cracked a smile. "That's what I thought," he beamed.

"Sounds like some place my foster mum would have took me...," I said and noticed Zack look a bit taken aback. His smile wore off.

I was surprised that Zack and I were acting normal like we weren't dead, as if just strolling long two ordinary guys going for a walk down the park almost, that's what it felt like.
