Lyric POV

" So wassup." I asked. We were seating on her bed facing each other.

" look I'm going to be honest I'm still a little hurt about how things took place in the past but seeing you tonight after all this time made me miss my cousin and more importantly I miss my stubborn best friend. "

"I missed you too and Shavon I want to apologize for the way things happened back in the day. I understand you were just looking out for me. You know that night I really did break up with Rell for good. I couldn't let him destroy my life to where everyone I loved I was pushing away. "

"Lili I been forgave you, I just felt as though I needed to give you your space and let you come to grips with your situation at hand. I knew you would come around eventually. But it hurt me so bad to see you go through all that pain and then turn around and take it out on me." She grab me into a hug.

"Man Shay I wanted to come and apologize so bad but I was too embarrassed and mad at myself for even letting it get that bad. I let him get me to a point where I couldn't face my family. And here I had a father and brothers who I know would've kicked his ass and I still remained silent."

"It's okay Lili. We can move on from it now. I'm just glad your in a better place. I know Jordan is a great guy, so I'm sure he'll treat you right."

"Yea hopefully." I smiled.

"Girl besides even if i was still mad at you it was over once Keli called herself trying to fake on you. Fuck she thought this was." We started laughing.

"You a mess. But let me head out I think Jordan got to be to work early tomorrow. "

" Okay." She stood up and walked me back into the living.

"Long ass talk." Jordan mumbled.

" Shut up we was not even in there that long." Shay said mushing his head.

"Yea whatever but we going to roll out. Tell Julian hit me later." Jordan told her after smacking her hand away from him and grabbing mine.

"Okay. Lyric take my number down and text me in the am. "

I pulled my phone out and went to my contacts. "Okay. What is it?" She called her number out to me and I locked it in. "I'll hit you. Love you." I hugged Shay then headed for the car.

"You funny as shit. You know that. " I said to Jordan as we pull into his parking lot.

"What you talking about."

"Why would you take me over there without telling me there might be a chance a petty ass ex would show face ? "

"That girl is not my ex. We only talked."

" The way she was going hard for you would tell me different but that's neither here nor there. The point is I was blind sided by her " I got out the car.

"Yeah you right. I should've told you. My bad but I promise you that girl is just a bad ass experience and NOT an ex."

" I believe you boo." I said walking into his apartment. I took my shoes off at the door then walked into his room to gather my things. I was going home tonight and I wanted to make sure I had everything .

"So what do you have planned for thanksgiving? " he said walking into the room behind me.

"I usually stay home with my family. You? " I started looking through my bag to see if everything was there.

"I go to my mom's house. I was wondering if you wanted to come so you could meet my family."I looked up at him.

"I could do that only if afterwards we could go to my house so you can meet my family also."
