Chapter 12

Josh's POV:

"I LOVE YOU TOO JOSH DEVINE!!!!" Lila yelled at the top of her lungs.

She ran into my arms and i spun her around making her giggle. I loved making her happy. We both collapsed on the grass and just stared at the stars.

"You know, when i was a little girl me and my dad would just come out here at night and just stare at the stars..." Lila softly spoke.

"This is the first time in a while I've done this" she smiled brightly at me.

"We could do this every now and then if you'd like?" I asked Lila.

"I would love that" she smiled.

"What do you think about Zayn?" I asked. It clearly surprised her by the look on her face.

"Well he's a nice person" she simply replied.

"My parents absolutely loved you!" I said changing the subject.

"Really?!" She sighed in relief.

"Haha yes! I told you they would!" I reminded her.

"You were such an adorable baby!" She squealed teasing me.

"Well i don't mean to brag much!" I playfully teased her back.

"God you're such a twat!" She said while pecking my lips and running away.

I quickly stood up and cleaned the grass off of me and chased after her.

I caught her in a huge hug and spun her around.

"You know if you ever run away from me i won't stop until i catch you love" i stated seriously.

"You're so cheesy!" She laughed.

"But that's what i love about you!" She pecked me in the lips before gesturing me to come inside her house.

As soon as i walked in her little sister Stef ran up to Lila and hugged her.

"Lila youre back" she squealed.

"Haha yes! You should be in bed right now" Lila stated.

"I need someone to read me a bedtime story!" the little girl squealed.

"I could read you a bedtime story!" I volunteered myself.

"Josh you don't have to-" Lila started but i cut her off.

"I want to" i assured her.

"Fine i'll just go feed jelly bean" she said while picking up the small orange kitten and heading towards the kitchen.

Little Stef led me to her room. It was pink with a huge painting of a rainbow.

"Lila and my daddy drew me that picture when i was a baby" Stef said with her big hazel puppy dog eyes getting watery.

"One day you could make your own picture and hang it up too" i said trying to cheer her up.

"Yayyy! You and Lila could help me!" She cheered excitedly.

"Can i ask you a question Joshy?" She asked.

I laughed at how she called me Joshy. "Yeah sure, anything princess" i said while poking her tiny little nose.

"Have you and Lila kissed?" she curiously asked her hazel eyes looking at mine.

"Umm yeah we have" i answered.

"Ewww! You have cooties!" She squealed.

"Haha i sure do!"

"Lila will never shut up about you-" Stef was cut off by Lila coughing very loudly. "Stef what did i tell you about talking to others about me?" "To not do it" "Yes, and what did you just do?" She asked seriously. She looked so cute. "I unpromised it" Stef admited. "Don't do it again Ok?" "Kay!" Stef smiled.

"Lila is a poppy-head!" I childishly whined. And threw a pillow at her.

"PILLOW FIGHT!" Stef screamed.
