Chapter 36

Lila's POV:

We all stood up.

I dont understand how i managed to but i did.

I have been feeling so weak.

"He is awake now and is in a stable state right now. Visitors are welcome now" the doctor informed us with a small smile.

I felt my heart jump out my chest.

I was in relief.

He was ok.

Zayn was ok.

The love of my life was ok.

"I think Lila should go on and see him first" Liam offered with a smile with Sierra by his side.

I nodded in response and followed the doctor.

"Here he is. Now make sure to talk to him calmly" the doctor says quietly.

"I will thanks"

He nods and opens the door for me with a small shriek.

I see him and can't help but smile.

It vanishes away as i see he has all sorts of devices plugged into him.

He never deserved this.

He never asked for this.

That should be me.

"Lila" he smiles.

Don't cry. Don't cry.

"Im so glad you're ok" I say sitting beside him and caressing his cheek.

"No im glad your'e ok. I was afraid of losing you..i taught i would never see you again when you disappeared Lila..it was unimaginable" he reaches out to hold my hand.

"Its ok im fine" i assure him.

"No you're not. Its so obvious Lila just because im here in this state doesn't mean you can fool me. I can tell you haven't eaten or even had sleep. This isn't healthy for you" he stares deeply in my eyes.

"Zayn im ok..its ok let's not have this argument please?"

"alright but promise me you will eat something and get some rest"

"I promise" i say and rest my head on his chest.

"Zayn?"

"Yeah?"

"I love you"

"And i love you"

"Always remember that..its you it has always been you" i lift my head up and kiss his forehead.

We both stay in silence and fall asleep.

I am woken up by a nurse telling me that she has to change some of the devices out.

I politely nod and look back at his sleeping figure.

I walk back into the waiting room were Sierra is sleeping on Liam's shoulder.

I can't help but smile.

Sierra slowly wakes up and rubs her eyes.

"You girls should go get something to eat" he says looking back at me.

I nod remembering my promise.

"Zayn's mom is stopping by later" Liam informs me.

"Good i can imagine how worried she is" i cross my arms.

"Well let's go get some breakfast. The other girls will meet us there" she smiles standing up and looking down at her phone.

"Sounds good"

"Do you want anything?" Sierra asks Liam.

"No, but thanks. I will just wait here until i can go and see Zayn" he smiles.

His friendship with Zayn warms my heart.

We head to the small hospital cafeteria.

I cringe as i see the food.

Im not hungry at all.

"Here you go sweetie" A worker says handing me a plate of food.

I felt something odd about her.

"Look there they are!" Sierra waves as Lilly, Jennifer, and Riley make their way towards us.

I hug each of them individually and we all sit down.

"How's Zayn?" Jennifer asks taking a sip of her tea.

"He's getting better" i answer

"How's Harry?" i ask.

"Great! he asked me to prom" She smiles brightly.

We spent lunch just randomly talking just like old times.

"Excuse me i have to go to the restroom real quick" i say making a run for the restroom and holding my mouth.

I felt like i was going to puke any second.

I didn't manage to make it to the restroom before throwing up.

All that came out was blood.

Tear brimmed in my eyes.

Screams filled my ears.

"Lila! Anyone please get a doctor!" I heard my friends scream.

I couldn't stop it. I kept throwing up more and more the blood on the floor increased.

I felt a pair of strong arms pick me up.

Zayn.

Tears filled his eyes.

"I love you" 

My eyelids grew heavier.

I looked around me.

I dont want it to end like this.

But i couldn't stop it.
