"How's my best friend?" I asked, walking into Lauren's room.
"Ready to leave," Lauren replied as I approached her.
"Not until the doctor tells you you can," I sat down on the end of her bed
and she moved her legs to give me some more room.
"I don't understand why they're keeping me so long," she complained. "It's been a whole two days and I'm perfectly fine. Plus he said tonight I can leave, there's not much difference if I would go now?"
"No," I said sternly. "If he said tonight then your not leaving until tonight."
"Whatever," she mumbled. "My mom leave?"
"Yeah, she said she had to go get some groceries quick but she would be right back," I said. I got up and moved to a chair to make myself more comfortable.
Lauren nodded while staring at me. Her eyes traveled down my body and stopped at the bottom portion of my arms. I folded them across my chest, becoming uncomfortable.
"When did that happen?" She asked, referring to the marks on my arm.
I contemplated on wether or not to talk about this. I didn't really know what to say, but Lauren knew where it came from anyways.
I bit my lip while thinking of something to say. "The other night," I said. I was relieved to get the truth off of my chest but I still didn't like talking about this.
"After the accident?" She took her bottle of water off of the small table next to her and took a sip.
I nodded my head, hoping she wouldn't continue to ask questions.
"Why?" Lauren asked. "I mean why does he do this."
"I don't know," I shook my head. "But don't worry, I'm fine."
"No," her voice sounded strained, "your not. I'm so sick of you saying that and I'm sick of hearing it. Your not okay and everyone knows it, you haven't been okay since your mom died. What he's doing has been going on for too long and it needs to stop. Your his own daughter, you think he would-"
She stopped when she noticed that I wasn't listening to her. "Please stop."
Lauren opened her mouth to say something but decided not to. I shifted around uncomfortably in my seat, trying to ignore the awkwardness.
"And what's going on with you and bieber?" She asked, cocking her eyebrows.
"Nothing!" I almost yelled. I was getting sick of people asking me this.
"I thought you liked him?"
I shook my head. "No."
"Your a horrible liar," she replied. "We've been over this a million times. Seriously, what the fuck are you waiting for?"
I rolled my eyes. "Nothing is going on between me and Justin!" I now yelled. "Nor will there ever be! Just give it up because there's nothing between us."
Both of our heads turned to the door, where Justin and Ryan were standing awkwardly.
"We just thought we'd come visit," Justin said, shoving his hands into his pockets.
*Justin's POV*
"Hey bro, how's Lauren?" I sat down on the counter as I watched Ryan rummage through the fridge.
"She's okay," he said while closing it. "We should go visit her today."
"Yeah, when does she even get to leave?" I asked.
