"Alaina, do you and Justin have any plans for the New Year?"

"How long have you been together?"

"Hows your dad?"

"Whats your-"

I slammed the door shut and turned around so my back was to the door. The stupid paparazzi were following me around everywhere, asking me everything, and being just plain annoying. I didn't even know how they found out some of this stuff about me and why they would ask about my dad.

"Alaina?" I heard Justin ask as he walked through the hallway.

"Oh, hey," I tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear.

"You okay?" He asked, tilting his head to one side.

"Yeah," I replied, letting out a breath of air. "Paparazzi followed me here."

Justin scrunched up his nose. "Ew. Im sorry babe. I know you didn't sign up for this, but I can't do anything about it." Frowning, he brought his arms around me in a hug. I hugged back, needing the feeling of comfort he brought me right now.

"They um, they said something about my dad." I bit my lip.

"About your dad?" He asked for clarification.

I nodded and watched as he tightened his jaw.

"How do they even find out about this stuff? I swear to God it's like they stalk us," He mumbled.

"Unless someone told," I said, "but no one even knows except for you and Ryan and Lauren. I don't think they would do that to me, they know how uncomfortable I am even talking about it in the first place."

Justin simply nodded and looked down. "Yeah."

"Is everything okay?" He suddenly seemed like he didn't want to talk and something was the matter.

"Everythings perfect," He said. "I just wanna spend sometime with my girl." Smiling, although I could tell it was a fake one, he wrapped his arms around me again. "You look beautiful tonight." He was trying to change the subject, but I was going to find out what it was that made him act like that.

I blushed and looked down a little bit.

"How come you always do that?"

"Do what?" I asked, crossing my arms.

"Whenever I compliment you you get all shy and red," He said.

I shrugged. "I don't know. I don't really believe you but I guess it's a matter of opinion."

"It's not a matter of opinion, trust me," He pulled me closer to him as I put my arms around his neck.

I shook my head as Justin started nodding his.

"Your the most beautiful girl I know." Thumbing my chin, he looked into my eyes before placing a kiss on my lips.

Justin and I ate supper and then we watched a movie. Although he was acting like he was fine, I knew he really wasn't. It could have been something I said, something I did that made him upset. I didn't think I did anything. We were laying on his couch together watching T.V. when I decided to bring it back up.

"Hey Justin?" I asked, looking up at him. I was laying next to him and his arms were wrapped around my waist.

"Yeah?" He barely even flinched.

"What was going on before with you?" I said, hoping that I would get an answer.

"Nothing was," He replied while shrugging.
