Chapter 7

I just made out with justin.

Again.

For the second time.

I wanted to literally kill myself right then and there for even letting this happen. I should have never even agreed to tutor him and things would be so much easier right now.

The way he touched me and kissed me made me feel something I couldn't even understand. I never let anyone ever touch me, i dont know how it could happen with justin. it felt like he manipulated me and I had no way of backing out.

If he never would have pulled anything like that..

But then again I let him do it, and I kissed back.

My head dropped into my hands, as I let out a deep breath. I didn't know what I was going to do. The worst part was that I would have to face Justin again to tomorrow.

I smacked myself in the forehead a couple of times before getting up and looking at myself in the mirror. I was a mess, that was for sure. I examined my face before my eyes trailed down to my neck, widening in the process.

Screaming, I covered a spot of my neck and closed my eyes.

"Shit shit shit," I mumbled, panicking.

I opened my eyes slowly, hesitantly uncovering my hands from my neck. I stared at the hickey, right there, plain as day.

I ran to the bathroom, trying to find some kind of cover up. I applied some makeup to it, hoping that it would make it lighter or something.

If my dad ever found out about it, he would kill me. I could make up another lie like I had done this weekend, but there was no way he was going to believe me.

"Alaina!" I heard his voice call from downstairs.

"Yeah?" I replied, trying to calm myself down.

"Come down here," his low voice bellowed from downstairs.

I felt a pain in my heart as I realized why he wanted me downstairs and what he was going to do to me. If I didn't go down there, he would come up and everything would probably be much worse.

I let out a nervous sigh before walking downstairs, preparing myself for what was about to happen.

"Why were you home from school so late today?" He asked as soon as he saw me, appearing at the bottom of the steps where I was currently standing.

"I'm tutoring someone for geometry who needs help," I tried to cover up my neck with my hair.

"Who?" He asked, setting the beer bottle that was in his hand on a nearby table.

"Some kid named justin," I said as my heart rate picked up, my palms sweating.

"Would he have anything to do with that hickey on your neck?!" His voice carried throughout the whole house, making me tremble.

"No," I replied shakily. "Leslie was trying out her new straightener on me and she accidentally burned me."

"Nice try," he said, stepping closer to me. "I've heard that one before."

"Why don't you believe me?" I asked, but I received no answer. My dad continued to inch closer to me until his face was only an inch away from his.

"What did I tell you about lying to me?" He spat as I fell back into the steps on my back. A pain ran through my back and throughout my legs, making me helpless in this situation.

"What did I tell you?!" He repeated, threatening me with a fist. All of the memories of last time flooded into my mind, my hatred for him growing and growing every second.
