*Justin's pov*

"Thanks Ry," I said through the phone. "I owe you one."

"No problem," he replied before hanging up.

Ryan had just given me directions to Alaina's house. I really fucked up and I need to talk to her about this all.

I felt horrible. If I would have known maybe I would have treated her better or been nicer to her, and not so judgemental.

I stopped at a stop sign before turning into the street that Ryan had told me. I cruised down the road, searching for the house that fit Ryan's description.

When I finally found it I pulled into the driveway, quickly getting out and locking my car.

I walked up to the door, running through what I was going to say to her. I knocked on the door a couple times but I got no answer. After a few minutes of trying, I laid my hand on the door knob, wondering if this was a good decision or not.

This was something I might regret one day, but oh well.

I slowly turned the knob, entering a house that smelled of alcohol and cigarettes. I knew Alaina didn't smoke or drink so it had to be her dad that caused this awful smell.

Looking around a little bit, I was about to call her name when I heard a noise upstairs. I listened carefully to the sound, which I recognized as Alaina's voice.

I walked up the steps, looking around for any sign of Alaina. I got to the top and walked down the hallway, peering in a couple rooms.

I looked in a random room, which ended up being the bathroom. I kept walking when the noise got louder, and I could make out what Alaina was saying.

"Please don't do this," she begged.

Another low voice was heard, and I prayed to god I wasn't really hearing what I was hearing right now.

"Stop!" She screamed, causing me to run to the door.

I pushed it open, to be faced with Alaina and her dad. She was pinned down on the bed with her dad on top of her. I gulped when I saw she was only in her underwear and her bra.

"And just who are you?" The man, who I guessed was her dad, asked me.

"What the hell are you doing?" I asked, causing him to stand up.

"Nothing you should be concerned of, now get the hell out of my house," he sneered, leaving Alaina on her bed.

"How about you keep your hands off of her," I said, glancing at Alaina who was trying her best to keep her composure.

"Don't start with me," he warned. "I can take you down anyday, or better yet I could kill you right now if I wanted to."

Alaina watched in fear, curling up in the corner of her bed. I couldn't help but notice her body, with bruises and scars all over it.

"Your a monster," I said, walking closer to him.

"Go to hell," he replied, and I made no hesitation to connect my fist with hai jaw.

He bent over, clenching the side of his face that I had just hit.

"Your gonna be sorry for that one," he replied, taking me by surprise as he tackled me, a loud thump sound echoing throughout the room as we fell.

Towering over me, he grabbed both of my arms, leaving me helpless. He took a punch right at the side of my face, causing me to wince in pain.

It took all the strength I had in my body to wriggle out of his grasp, kneeing him in the stomach as I did so.
