******Nate's P.O.V*****
When I walked out of the bathroom I smelt something super sweet. That's when I heard Mel's voice yelling "White chocolate chip pancakes!" It has been forever since the last time I had white chocolate chip pancakes. As a kid they had been my favorite thing to ever eat. But then my parents stopped making them; and now I've forgotten how they taste. When I got to the dinning room I sat at the table with Mel, her sister, and her mom. Mel's dad left earlier that night. We said prayers, or more like I attempted to say prayers but just let Mel and her mom say them. "Dear God thank you for this food and for letting Nate save Mel."
"Thank you Mrs. Cassandra for the pancakes. It has been so long since I've had them." I smiled and started eating them. Then Mel pipped up,"It's been forever since I've had them too. Thank you so much for making these, mom!"******Mel's P.O.V.******
Once we all got done with the pancakes we all went to the doctors. He gave me crutches and a cast. Your usual 'I have a broken foot.' Type of deal. Afterwards we went to the movies, "What do you want to watch Melody. It'll be your choice. And I'll pay for everyone. Whatever you want." Said Carmen. "Oh well I'm kind of up for a horror movie." I looked over at Nate. "Maybe like As Above So Below." Everyone gave a silent okay. I was the only real big fan of horror movies in the group. "The next showing isn't until 2:45. Its 12:30 now."
"Can we go get Tessa. I want to see her."
"Ya I think that would be a good idea to let Tessa see Mel."
"Okay everybody back in the car."
It was a silent drive back home. When we finally got to Tessa's house I got out and knocked on her door. When the door opened it was Mrs. Camberley. "Hi Mrs. Camberley. I was wondering if Tessa could come see a horror move with us?"
"Ya let me go get her." She closed the door and walked back inside the house. Unlike her mom Tessa had crystal blue eyes and blonde hair. She looked most like her brother Parker. You could hear her running down the stairs. When she opened the door she gave me a huge hug that made me stumble back a little. "I'm so glad you are okay. I'm so sorry for not getting to the door sooner." Her hair was curled and I could hear the crack I her voice and feel a tear on my shoulder from her. "Tes. It's okay calm down, like you said I'm okay now." She walked to the car. I yelled into the house, "Thank you!" Then I closed the door.

I sat in the car silently. I still felt horrible for not getting to the door fast enough. What no one knew but my brother Parker is I had started cutting. I gripped onto my shirt harder and harder with each passing minute. Tears started to gather up in my eyes again. "We're here." I wiped at the tears in my eyes and sucked in a breath. I released it when I stepped out of the car. Melody waited for me and walked with me to the doors. "Does it hurt?" I asked.
"What?"
"Your foot I mean. Does your foot hurt?"
"Sometimes. I just try to not think about it a lot."
"Oh sorry for bringing it up."
"No your completely fine." I looked up at her and just gave her a hug. "I don't care how lesbian this looks I love you you slut. Well I love you like a sister."
I smiled. For the first time in what seemed like ages. "Well we are sisters. Remember?" In the sixth grade we became blood sisters when we poked our fingers and connected them. It symbolized our friendship. "Ofcourse I remember."
"Okay whore." She lightly punched me in the arm and we both just died of laughter. Then we finally walked in.******Nates P.O.V.******
When we were watching the movie I could feel her flinching. She would squeeze my hand tighter. We were all quiet. When the movie was finally done we went out for frozen yogurt. We stayed there for about a hour to a hour and thirty minutes. We all had a big sleepover that night. We stayed up until 4:30. We had so much fun. But then the next day was school. And I was terrified.
