******Mel's P.O.V.*******
Monday at school was terrible. Everyone in school were giving me glances and snickering. I mean its not something I'm not already used to but the rumors about how I broke my foot were horrible. The most common one was "She broke her foot when she was having sex on a table. She feel and broke her ankle." Another one was that I was chasing after Nate and I tripped and feel. But Tessa and Nate were there by me the whole time in the hallways telling me to ignore them that they were just being mean. But when we passed Ashley and Hectors locker's it felt like time stopped and everyone just froze except for those two. They turned toward me and just laughed. I started to walk off when I was pushed and feel to the ground with a thud. I was so embarased. Laughs could be hear from all around. Paper balls were being thrown at me. I didn't cry no matter how much I wanted to, I was not going to let them win. Not like this. But Nate and Tessa were there by my side yelling at everybody to shut up. "Hey!" At first I thought it was Nate but when I looked up Nate was just standing there. And then I noticed it. All the laughs had stopped. No more paper balls were being thrown. In fact you could probably here a pin drop in that hallway it was so quiet. That's when I finally registered who it was. Our principal. "Everyone in this hallway is going to pickup the mess on the floor and go straight to your first period. In there you well write one hundred times that you will not do this again. Am I understood?" The students nodded their heads in unison almost as if it had been rehearsed. Then we heard another shout. "Am I understood!"
"Yes sir!" Everyone ran to their classrooms. "As for you three. Are you guys alright?"
"Yes sir we are." Nate was the one to speak up first.
"You guys are excused for your first three classes."
"Thank you sir." This time it was Tessa.
"Have a good day." "Oh and Ms. Parks. If these students give you anymore trouble I want you to come straight to my office." He saw us off with a nod. Tessa helped me up and Nate grabbed my crutches. We walked of too the choir room because nobody was in there until after lunch. "Well that was festive." Said Tessa. "Ya tell me about it." I sat on the floor. Tessa just leaned up against the wall. And Nate walked over to the piano he sat down and lifted the thing that protects the keys. Then he started playing. And he played really well. Really well. "I didn't know you could play?"
"Ya I've been playing since second grade."
"Wow." He closed the piano and left. I didn't see him in seventh period either. But what I did see was You are a filthy slut. Drink bleach and go to hell. Sprawled out over my locker in a disguasting green color. I didn't cry. I didn't do anything. I just walked out and walked home.
