"Emily?"
"Emily baby wake up"
"Emily its over"
"Honey?"
I slowly lift my heavy eyes to see a bright light in front of me. O my god I'm dead! I blink a few times as the light dies down. I move my weak eyes to see my mom in front of me, the same position she was in when I fell asleep.
O thank heavens I'm alive.
"Hey baby. You're all done" she whispered
I give her a weak smile, feeling to groggy. My head hurts and I'm extremely tired. I barely felt two slim arms wrap around me until I heard Kate speak next to my ear.
"You did so good Em! I'm so proud" she said. I smile some more as I close my eyes and touch her arms. She released me as soon as the doctor comes in.
"Well miss Sanders it appears you have survived your first chemotherapy." He chuckles at his little joke. "Now I recommend you go home and not do to much, your body still needs to accept the chemo. You will feel a little weird in the beginning. Possibly even have some symptoms of light headiness, nausea, etc etc. If any of these are causing any pain or is to extreme to handle, immediately call the hospital and we will assist you. We won't know if the effects are positive or negative until we have done multiple appointments so we'll see. Other than that I think you can go. I just need mom here to sign a few things and schedule your next appointment and your all good. Have a wonderful day miss Sanders." He said before ushering my mom out the door with him. I look back to everyone as they stare at me. Kate starts jumping up and down clapping her hands silently as John stands there awkwardly giving me a small smile. Adam starts gathering my clothes. I look to Caleb, his hands in his pockets as he just stares at me intently. It gave my tummy a weird butterfly feeling. I didn't like him looking at me when I'm like this however. The silence is broken by Adam.
"Alright alright everyone out so my sister can change and we can leave this horrid place." He scoots everyone out of the room as I limply sat in the bed. He comes up to me with a smile.
"You look high as fuck care bear." He said. I softly chuckle. The nurse comes in and removes and the tubes that are attached to me. "Please take slow movements sweetie, don't want you to hurt yourself." She giggled as she left with the tray.
"Do you need help?" Adam asked. I slowly nod my head as I murmur "uh huh" under my breath.
Adam laughs and snakes his arm around me so he can lift me up. I sit on the edge of the bed as Adam helps to lift my arms up and helps me balance as I change. As I stand the world starts to spin and I grip Adams forearm for dear life. He immediately pulls me to his side and we shuffle out of the room down the hall.
When we walk to the waiting room I couldn't take anymore. "Adam" I said with a strained voice as I tug on his sleeve. "I'm to tired, I need to sit."
He lead me to the chairs and slowly sat down in one. He sat next to me waiting for everyone. I soon let my head fall on his broad shoulder.
"Emily! You won't believe what they have!" Kate yells as she skips over to me. I move my head a little to tell her I'm listening.
"Look! Lollipops!" She said. I open my eyes and readjust them, not expecting her to be holding 5 lollipops that close to my face. I nod my head again.
"Here I got you two. You're favorites; watermelon and coconut." She squealed as she put the two in my resting hand.
It grew silent once again and I was confused if she left or not. I barely open my watery eyes to see her crissed crossed on the floor, her three lollipops in her mouth as she day dreams.
