{Riley's P. O. V.}
Today was the day!
The first day of my nannying gig. I was super excited yet a little bit nervous. What if the girl doesn't like me. Or what if the mom doesn't like me. Better yet what if the dog doesn't like me. Oh my! I'm gonna be a disgrace not just to humans but animals too. What has my life come too.
'Really Riley. You're so dramatic.'
'Shut up. I'm not dramatic.'
'Mhmm' Shaking the thoughts away.
I got ready to leave the house to bring Benji to guitar lessons. It was Monday and every Monday and Wednesday Benji had guitar lessons at 12 o'clock.
It was cute watching Benji play the guitar. When he concentrated his eyes scrunched together in concentration and his tongue sticks out. It's seriously so adorable. Once I bring Benji home from lessons I'm off to the Gold residents. Eeeep I'm so excited. I did a little mini dance in my room. Wow I'm so weird.
I walked out of my bedroom and head down the stairs.
"Benji you ready!!" I yelled.
"Yeah just grabbing my guitar." He yelled back at me.
I went to the front door and put my converse on. I went to grab my moms keys but they weren't there. Shoot! My aunt took it back to her place to watch it. Ugh, now we have to walk. And from our house to Benji's guitar teachers house was at least a 30-minute walk there and back.
"Benji! Come on we have to walk to lessons today. Aunt Bendra took moms car! We don't have much time, let's go!!"
"Okay, I'm ready!" He said joining me at the front door, looking pretty annoyed. I giggled at his expression. He just glared back at me.
"Come on buddy, let's go." We walked out the door and locked it and we were on our 30 minute way to pure torture. Well for me.

Benji's guitar lessons were over and we were on our way back home. I was super excited to get to the Gold residents. But Benji had to go and kill the mood. On our way back Benji wouldn't shut the hell up.
"Do you think mermaids exist. Or better yet aliens. Whoa, that'd be insane if they'd existed. I would become their best friend and they would run tests on me and oh! Riles did you know that we only know 5% of what's down in the ocean. The other 95% we have no clue what could be down there!" He rambled on.
"Uh huh! Cool, where'd you learn that." I asked bored.
"In science class! It was so cool!" He shouted loudly. "Ben shhh. Not so loud." I said putting a finger to my lips. We were in the sketchy part of town and I didn't want any of the sketchy people jumping us.
"Ohhhh Riley guess what! I was thinking of what my superhero name could be and guess what I came up with. It's pretty amazing!" He said a matter-of-factly. I shrugged.
"BAM! The most amazing superhero that you ever heard. I'm the one who fights crime and saves the day." As he was saying this he stopped. Right in front of an alley I may add and screamed "BAM TO THE RESCUE!!!" And ran right into the alley laughing like a maniac. Oh, my fiddle sticks!!
"BEN!!!"I screamed fear seeping through me. I ran after him.
The alley was dark and scary. It wasn't a place for a scared, nerdy girl like me. And for a 7-year-old boy, who thinks he's a superhero named BAM! Argh, Benji! I slowed down to a fast pace.
I looked around frankly for Ben. He was nowhere. I walked a little deeper into the alley and found Ben standing in one spot completely frozen. I ran up to him.
