Emily's POV
"How are you both today?" he asked with a smile as we all took our seats around his desk. I dropped my bag to the floor and started playing with my hair, a habit of mine when it came to nerves.
"We're good thanks, and yourself?" I asked with a smile, trying to hide how I was really feeling. Why had I let Louis talk me into this?
"I'm well thank you," he said, smiling at both of us. "Let's get down to business, shall we?" he asked, and I nodded eagerly, wanting to get this over and done with, and I expected the worst.
"Okay, well, I've listened to your CD on a conference call with some business associates at Syco records," he began, his face unreadable, making the wait even more unbearable.
"Mmhmmm?" I urged him, my nerves starting to take over, and I started to tap my hand on my leg.
"I'm honestly really glad that Louis convinced you to do this, because if he didn't, the world would be missing out on a god given talent," he began. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Could this be right? Simon Cowell actually likes me? I could feel the tiniest smile forming at my mouth, and I waited for him to say more.
"So that is why, Syco and I have decided to sign you on, and give you a record deal," his face broke into a smile, and I exhaled the breath that I realised I was holding. A big smile broke over mine and Louis' faces, and I couldn't believe it.
"Oh my god! Are you serious!?" I exclaimed, my emotions taking over. Simon and Louis started laughing, and my hands covered my mouth. I was reacting like such an immature child! I tried to compose myself, and I started laughing.
"Deadly! Congratulations!" he said, and he leaned over to shake my hand.
"So what happens now?" I asked, eager to know what to do to begin this new journey in my life.
"I think that for about year, you write and record as much as you can, and in 9 months, we meet again and we work out what will be the first single and what will go on the album and in at the end of the year we release the album," he said calmly, and he smiled again.
"Okay, that sounds good. Well there's four down, and god knows how many left!" I laughed and I began to stand up as Simon stood up. "Thank you so much, I won't let you down," I smiled and shook his outstretched hand, and Louis did the same.
"Just work hard, and make me proud," he said with a small smile and Louis and I exited the office and as soon as the door closed, I spun around to Louis and let out a squeal. My eyes were wide and my smile was wider and Louis' face mirrored mine.
"I can't believe it! Oh my god!" I exclaimed to him and I hugged him tight, my cheeks starting to hurt from smiling,
"I can, you're amazing!" he laughed and kissed my forehead. I smiled into his chest, unable to believe what had just happened.
"Thank you so much," I looked up to him and kissed him, both of us smiling.
"What for?" he laughed, and we gripped hands, making our way out of the building and into the paparazzi.
"Everything," I leaned up and whispered into his ear and he smiled, before we turned our attention to the media in front of us.
"LOUIS! EMILY! HOW ARE YOU BOTH? IS EVERYTHING OKAY? WHY WERE YOU AT SIMON'S OFFICE? IS EVERYTHING OKAY?" They screamed at us, and we looked at them smiling.
"We're really good thank you," I began, looking up at Louis and squeezing his hand, and turned back to the media. "Simon and I just had a business meeting to attend to, and everything is okay," I smiled and pulled him close to me and we broke through the paparazzi and into a taxi.
