(Emily's POV)

"Dan, I'm bored and lonely. Let's go out tonight," I said into the phone as I checked on Pippa again. 11pm and she was still asleep thank god. Louis had been gone for less than a week and I already felt like I was going crazy without him.

"Okay, but Tess can't come, she's sick," she said and sounded disappointed. I walked downstairs and sat at the breakfast bar.

"Damn, I wish she could," I said, genuinely disappointed.

"Well we could ring her and ask if you want, but I think she's gonna say no" she said, so I agreed and connected her via a three way call.

"Tess, you wanna go out tonight?" I asked as she answered and I was greeted with a very congested sounding Tess.

"I wish, but I'm sick," she replied and proceeded to cough away from the phone. "Sorry," she added feebly after she recovered from her fit.

"Don't be sorry, you can't help that you're sick," I laughed and then realisation hit me. "Who's gonna look after Pippa, Dan?" I asked and was instantly disappointed to know I couldn't go out.

"I would do it, but what if I get her sick?" Tess asked and I took this into consideration.

"You probably wouldn't have to go into her room, she doesn't wake up much," I said, sounding as if I was trying to convince her. I hated that Danielle and I were gonna go out and leave her with Pippa though, we wanted her to come with us.

"I'll pop over soon then!" she said and hung up the phone before I could protest.

"I'll get ready and be over soon too then!" Danielle said and hung up the phone too, before I could say anything. That was that then. I shook my head and laughed to myself and went upstairs to get ready.

I padded around my room looking for something to wear, and eventually decided on a black dress. I quickly straightened my hair and chucked it into a messy bun on top of my head and did my makeup. It didn't really take long to get ready, so I was ready by the time Tess got here.

The doorbell rang and I checked the peephole to see Tess waiting there. I'd been checking the peephole every time the doorbell rang ever since I got that note and my photo. I've been so bloody paranoid, not to mention scared. I opened it and went to pull her into a hug but she stepped backwards.

"I don't wanna get you sick!" she laughed and I raised my eyebrow and started laughing.

"At least I'm not pulling you in for a kiss!" I exclaimed and she nodded and laughed again. I saw the lights of Danielle's car at the top of the driveway, so we waited at the door for her.

"Thanks for looking after Pip by the way," I started and she shook her head and gave me a smile. "I wish you could come," I said and watched as Danielle started down the driveway.

"No worries. And I'm not as upset about Harry leaving as you and Danielle are about Louis and Liam. You need a night out for once," she laughed and I nodded knowing she was right.

"Hey gorgeous!" I called to Danielle as she came up to us. She was dressed in a strapless black leather dress and looked amazing.

"Hello hello!" she said and pulled me into a hug and went to hug Tess but the same thing happened as earlier. She repeated her reason and Danielle started laughing and said the same thing as I did.

"You two better get going, it's past midnight already," Tess laughed and Danielle and I looked at each other again.

"Thank you so much again," I said to Tess and clasped my hands together. She started laughing and practically pushed us up the driveway.
