(Emily's POV)

"Are you almost ready to go hun?" Louis called up the stairs and I took one last look at Pippa before I was sure I was ready. I gave her a quick kiss and tapped her nose.

"Looking gorgeous as always, Pip," I smiled and she replied with a gurgling sound that I found to be one of the cutest things ever. I carried her in my arms and awkwardly grabbed her baby bag from the nursery whilst trying to balance her in my arms and hurried down the stairs to meet Louis, who's face lit up when he saw us. "My two girls looking beautiful as always," he said and kissed me on the lips and then Pippa on the forehead.

Pippa was now just over a month old, and she seemed to be growing a little bit more each day. She had the cutest red hair on top of her head and it seemed to be getting a wave to it. I have no idea where that came from, apart from maybe my mum. Speaking of mother's, today we were off to see Johannah! I felt a little bit guilty about this being the first time meeting her, but none of us had had the time before the pregnancy, and plus a lot of the time I hadn't really felt up to it anyway. I know I sound selfish, but whatever.

"What if she doesn't like me?" I asked worriedly after I made sure Pippa was fastened in her carseat properly for what would've been the fifth time and closed my door buckling up my own seatbelt.

"Of course she's going to like you, she'll love you!" he laughed as he started the car and we went down the driveway. I laughed uneasily and shook my head, still worrying that she wouldn't approve of me.

Within 15 minutes of the journey Pippa was asleep again. I'd turned over the seat to face her and see if she was alright and she was sound asleep with her head tilted. I sighed and started laughing and Louis had turned to me with a questioning look.

"She really takes after you," I laughed and glanced at her in the rearview mirror again and she was the same as she was 10 seconds ago, unsurprisingly.

"In what way? The hair, I know," he said and I hit his leg lightly and started laughing.

"Nooo! She always sleeps! We're actually lucky you know, she could've been one of the babies that never sleeps and always cries, but she's good," I said with a proud smile and Louis nodded in agreement.

"She's perfect, just like you," he laughed and I rolled my eyes and started laughing.

"That was so cheesy" I laughed and leaned over and kissed his cheek as we pulled up at a red light.

"It's true though," he shrugged and I leaned back in my seat and rolled my eyes again. I was still pretty self conscious, and I hated that I wasn't as skinny as I used to be, but part of me was loving my new curves.

We continued to drive and Pippa slept the whole way. I kind of dreaded waking her up because she was always grizzly for like half an hour after she woke, and I was worried it'd annoy Johannah. We parked in the drive and I rushed over to her door and lifted her gently from the carseat and into my arms and tried to calm her grizzling. I smoothed down her tiny pink dress we'd bought her and looked up at Louis with a smile and he leaned down and kissed my head.

"It's gonna be fine," he said sensing my nerves. "Shall we go inside?" he asked with a warm smile and I nodded and walked up with him to the door, where he knocked it and we waited, me nervously.

Not long after, Johannah answered the door with a warm smile and pulled both of us into big hugs, being careful not to squish Pippa.

"Lou, darlin! So good to finally see you again!" she laughed and he started laughing as well and pulled her into another hug.
