Pete's POV

"What were you thinking?!" I yelled at Michael. I was NOT happy with what he revealed to everyone. "I didn't think you would still be fixated on it and mentioning it wouldn't be triggering to you." he replied. "Yes it does! If I say to never mention it to anyone, it means DON'T! I say when it is alright for me to talk about it, NOT YOU." I jabbed my finger at his chest. Michael leaned on the counter, crossing his arms "Just, please tell me it wasn't about him." I sat on top of the counter, across from him. "No. As if I think about him now." He was still confused about the poem. "Then who is directed to?" "It's just a stupid poem I wrote without thinking. It was probably those two conformist broads I overheard about how her boyfriend is paying attention to some other broad instead of her." I rolled my eyes, coming up with a lie.

Michael scoffed, "Of course, conformists." He grabs his mug, pouring the dark liquid in it. "Yeah." I said. Finally we are moving away from the topic, "I'm done talking about this, it's giving me a headache." "You and me both." Michael agreed. "Sorry for what I said back there, it bugged me thinking you were still thinking about that fucker." "Like I said, don't mention it." That asshole messed you up that you weren't coming to school. I started believing you were gonna die from it." "Obviously not, I'm not some emo. I just needed some time to recollect myself. I didn't think anyone would miss me if I was gone for that long." "Now you're sounding like an emo." Michael teased which made me chuckle. "Least I know you cared." I nudged him.

Michael's POV

After filling our cups with coffee, we headed back to Y/n's room. "Y/n, any thoughts on Halloween this month?" Firkle asks her. I sat in my designated spot, tuning in to the conversation. "Yeah, we should definitely do a group costume." Henrietta pitches. "What group costumes are goth?" Pete chimed. "I was thinking we could do Beetlejuice." Firkle said. "Isn't there only two characters?" Henrietta questions. "Not if you're including the creepy faces the Maitlands did." Y/n pointed out. "Then that leaves one character left." Pete says. "How about the sandworm?" I asked. "I don't want to be a worm, it makes me look like a child." Firkle complained. "Then what about other characters from the movie?" Y/n tried resolving the issue, but it was useless. "No one gives a shit about those characters, they're forgettable." Pete said disappointingly. "Okay, well, how about something else? Like the Addams family?" Y/n asks again. "No, they're not goth." I shot down. "Yes they are." She shot back, but I argued "Not after that remake they made. They look uglier than the conformists in the movie." "He's got a point there." Pete defended me. "Well fuck my idea then." She pouted.

We went back and forth on what group costume would best suit us, until we were tied between slasher characters and Invader Zim. Personally I would go with Invader Zim, but the others feel like it was ruined when the posers made it out as a scene thing when it was clearly our thing. "What are your thoughts, Y/n?" Firkle asked her. "I think slashers would be easier to do since there's a lot to choose from, and while I love Invader Zim, the only characters you have are the 2 main characters along with the side characters like Gir and Gaz." Pointing out her opinion, she's not wrong that only 4 characters are relevant; however, "What about Tak? You can be Tak." I brought up the idea. "Who said I'll be dressing up?" She questioned, which sent everyone groaning. "Why not? You haven't trick-or-treated with us once since you got here." Firkle complained. Ever since Y/n came here, she has never trick-or-treated with us ever. She either makes up an excuse or says that she's sick, so what's her excuse this time? "Well, thanks to my asshole parents, they are taking me to a bible study, making me spend Halloween in a church." She revealed. "Damn." Pete said disappointed. "Then let's just go with the Invader Zim idea." I said changing the moody subject. They all agreed, still upset.
