i began avoiding kyle all together, after that yelling outburst.
it was quite easy, at first. we still had to do the group activities, but i just put him in charge of doing them or made my way to the bathroom where i stayed until it was finished.
he had tried to approach me,
'tyne, we have to fix this.'
't, i'm so sorry. i didn't mean to.'
'talk to me when you're ready.'
the thing was, i would never be ready. he was already on my bad side, with his obnoxious and over friendly behavior. then he flipped a switch and yelled at me, something i had never taken well.
we were currently at dinner, daniel to my right, katie in front, and kyle planted next to her.
i wasn't hungry, though i hadn't found myself hungry at all recently.
i felt a gentle tap on my shoulder, to find daniel looking at me with soft features.
'y-you goi-going to eat th-that?' the poor boy struggled to get out.
i shook my head, 'not hungry, you want it?'
he only shook his head, eyebrows furrowing.
kyle must have caught on to the small exchange, 'yeah, are you going to eat that?'
'if you would have been listening, i said no. im not hungry.'
i eyed him, staring into his warm brown orbs, 'do you want it?'
this was probably the first word exchange that was over two words.
'no, i want you to eat it.'
'since when did you care about what i did?' i mumbled.
'tyne, eat.'
'or what? your going to yell at me again?' i asked, feeling a slight tightness in my throat.
his eyebrows furrowed, and my breath began to feel a bit more rigid. i didn't like the attention on me, all three of them were staring and it was uncomfortable.
'you need to eat something.' he pressed.
'and you need to leave me alone,' i whimpered, pushing myself away from the table and to the bathroom where no eyes could stare me down.
