with trying to spend less time with kyle, i had to start venturing off. sure we started to do the activities together and what not, but there was no way i would voluntarily hang around him.
of the places around the camp, the fire pit and river bank had quickly become my favorite spots.
one of the reasons was william.
william was playing his guitar at the fire pit one night, and i grew fond of him as all the campers shyly sang along to one of his songs.
then i saw him heading towards me the following day as i sat by the river, drawing designs in the dirt with a stick.
i waited for the heavy breathing to start picking up, waited for the anxiety of having to speak, but it never came.
he had an aura of calmness.
"hello love,"
"hi." i offered.
i took in his appearance, light brown hair, a slight beard growing, grey eyes, and broad shoulders under a grey t shirt.
'what's a pretty girl like you doing alone all the way over here?'
'i-um, im not a big people person.' i fumbled, turning crimson with his words.
he took a spot next to me, 'im not either. im will.'
'tyne.'
