Jason's pov

When we get back to our house, the cops aren't still snooping around. We pack up the moonshine and get ready for the tour. "Do you think we'll make it, B?" Justin asks. "We always do." B replies. "After last night......" Justin mumbles, his voice trailing off. "Look, man if you're too scared-" "Let's ride." I cut him off to stop the fight. B nods and gets in his truck, driving away. "We're gonna be fine." I say, patting Justin's shoulder. "You sure?" I nod. He forces a smile and gets in his truck and drives away. I want to stop in on that girl and get her name. So I drive to her house. She's on her front porch wearing an oversized sweatshirt with a glass of sweet tea and her hair dripping wet. She must've just gotten out of the shower. "Hey." I say, waving. "Hey cowboy." I smile. I take my hat off. "I'm going on tour in a minute but before I do I just wanted to thank you for not turning me in yesterday." She stands up. "It was nothing." She says. "Oh I forgot to ask yesterday, what's your name?" "Miranda, Mr. Aldean." So she knows of me. "So you listen to country music?" I ask. "Eh, it's more from your notorious threesome with Justin and Brantley. The outlaws of country music." She says, shrugging. "Ok well, I've gotta go meet the boys for the tour, see ya later?" "I'll be here." I smile and hand her a ticket. "You could be there." I say. "What do you mean?" "It's a ticket to my show." "Oh, I uh don't have a car." I don't know why but it makes me really happy to be able to say this. "You can hitch a ride with me." She smiles. "In that case....." She goes inside, presumably to get ready to go, so I sit on the front porch steps. A memory hits me like a ton of bricks.

~flashback~

I was sitting on my front porch with Kendyl. It was before all the moonshine and trouble making I got into. Well, my five year old had learned about the lunar landing. She walked out and stared hard at the sky. She stood there for a while, me just watching her completely confused, not sure what she was doing. She got a big smile and hugged me. "Dad, I think I can see it, can you?" I picked her up and bowed my head. I closed my eyes and said, "yeah hun, I see it too."

~flashback over~

I haven't seen those girls in 4 years. Ever since their mother took them away and disappeared. She won't tell me anything. I haven't heard from them since. She moved them away and didn't tell me where. I've given up finding them. She walks back out wearing jeans and a T-shirt of mine. I smirk. "So you are a fan?" "I never said I wasn't." She says, shrugging. I open my truck door and help her in. "You're pretty gentlemanly for a moonshinin' trouble maker." She teases. I chuckle and get in the driver's side. "Let's go darlin'."
