*a year later*

Jason's pov

I get to the studio and smile, hearing Julie. She wasn't kidding when she said she was smart. She had a ton of cash saved up and used that to buy a small apartment in Nashville. Now she's a recording artist on broken bow. She's very talented. She finished up the song and walked out. "I can't thank you enough for the help." I smile. "I'm just glad I was able to." "I'm going on tour with Blake Shelton next summer. Isn't that awesome?" "Oh yeah, that guy is hilarious." I say. Mike calls me. I tip my hat to her and get in the studio to record.

*A few hours later*

I get home and the house is dark except for a faint yellow glow coming from the kitchen. I'm confused. "Babe?" I call, taking my jacket off and hanging my hat up. I hear muffled crying and walk in the kitchen. She was sitting at the table with a birthday cake and crying. "What.... What's going...." My voice trails off seeing the one lone candle on top. "Baby." I say sitting down beside her. "He would have been turning one today." She whispers, her eyes glued to the candle's flame. It's kinda scary looking. "Make a wish." She whispers then blows it out. I hug her and she sobs hard. "Come on baby. Let's head to bed." I shakily say, standing up, pulling her up with me. I don't know what's wrong with us. Why can't she get pregnant again? I hate it! I sigh and cover her with a blanket. Then I go back downstairs and get rid of that cake, trying not to cry myself. "Happy birthday son." I whisper, turning the kitchen light back off.
