Jason's pov

We finally get back home and get the girls settled into their new rooms. I hug them both. "I missed you girls so much." "We missed you too daddy." Kendyl says. Now I've gotta go break it to B that I'm not gonna be living crazy anymore. I walk down to Brantley's farm and Justin's there too. Perfect timing. I stuff my hands in my pockets and nervously walk over there. "Hey man, just in time." Justin says, smiling, his thumbs in his belt loops. I force a smile. "Guys I need to talk to y'all and this is serious." Brantley looks up from his stack of cash from selling moonshine. "What's up bro?" "I'm not gonna keep doing this." "What?!" Brantley gapes. "Why?" Justin shouts shocked. "I have reason again to stay outta jail. I have my girls back! I wanna set a good example for them!" They exchange looks. "Ok buddy just know you can always come back. We can always use a third hand." I smile. "Thanks for taking it so easily." We shake hands and I head back home. Miranda was getting her shoes on. "What ya doin' hun?" She smiles. "I'm quitting from being a PI." "Ok well I just quit being a moonshiner with the boys." She looks surprised. "Wow! Why?" "Cause I can't and won't risk going to jail. The girls need me. Speaking of where are they?" "Kendyl fell asleep on the couch in the den and Keely is in the backyard." Hm. "Alright I'll see ya in a bit." I kiss her cheek and she leaves. I go outside and Keely is sketching stuff. Wow. She's a really good artist. I sit beside her. She smiles. "What ya drawin'?" "The yard. It's really pretty out at sunset." She's become a wonderful young lady. "Dad? You okay? Why are you staring?" "Oh uh no reason. Just glad you and your sister are here again." I say, a little embarrassed. I hear the door open. I look over at my younger daughter. "Daddy, there's a police man at the door." My hands tense up. Crap!! I hit the emergency switch. "Girls, we're gonna hide in the bunker til the police man goes away." I say, quickly grabbing Kendyl's hand. We run to the bunker and I seal it up. "Why are we hiding here?" Keely asks, squinting in the darkness. I turn a kerosene lamp on. "Um well daddy's a little bit of a running from the law kinda guy." I admit. "What did you do?" "Sellin' moonshine. Well and I broke into someone's house to hide from the cops." Man did I get lucky. "What do we do?" Kendyl whispers. "No need to whisper hun this place is sound proof. And all we gotta do is wait."
