the year 1983, ogygia
Ashton was gone and left Luke in the dust, all alone on his island home.
His prison.
Deep down, Luke knew Ashton was a terrible person. But, Ashton was his only source of company, so he let his heart go and loved the slick-talking boy.
Luke realized his curse now. He was cursed to live in this island alone until he was granted company for a short while. The person who came would never stay.
It only seemed to Luke that Ashton left him a few months ago, but time went so strangely on Luke's home. Years had past and Ashton was 84 on earth with many children. Ashton hardly even remembered his encounter with the godly boy, but Luke thought of Ashton every day.
Now that Ashton was gone, all Luke would do is cry.
He cried as he tried to eat dinner, until he stopped eating all together.
He cried as he began to plant more flowers in his growing garden. It had gotten so huge, and plant life was covering Ogygia. They were all being watered by his tears.
He sobbed over a monster.
A monster named Ashton.
