ogygia, 2015

Luke took his gardening shovel and stabbed it into the dirt over and over again, uprooting pretty flowers from the ground. Today was horrible. He would never love this Michael character, so Michael would be trapped here forever with him. Luke could not and wound not sell his heart to Michael like he did with all the others. They were not meant to be. How could his punishment be so cruel? Before Luke knew it, he was sobbing. (a/n emotional wreck, much?)

"I think you have punished that dirt enough."

Luke whipped his head around to see Michael standing there, a smug look on his face. Was he there to irritated her even more? If so, he succeeded. "Just go away." Luke spat.

Michael's face clouded with a look of guilt, "You're crying." He

"None of your business," Luke grumpily mumbled, "It's a big island. Find your own place. Leave me alone." Gesturing in a random direction, Luke said, "Go that way"

"So.." Micheal put his hands in his tattered pants pockets. All his clothing was ripped to shreds from the fall, "No magic raft?"

"Apparently not!" Luke snapped, getting even more agitated then before.

"What am I supposed to do then? Sit in the sand dunes until I die?"

That seemed like a perfect option to Luke. "That would be fine." Luke smirked until he realized the situation, "Except I suppose he can't die here, can he? Zeus! This is not funny!" Luke yelled to the sky.

Micheal tilted his bright green head in confusion, "Hold up. I'm going to need some more information. You don't want me in your face, that's cool. I don't want to be here! But, I'm not going to go and die in a corner. I have to get off this island. There's got to be a way. Every problem has a solution."

Luke laughed at his naive words, "You haven't lived very long, if you still believe that."

Micheal looked offended and hurt all at the same time, but then he gasped.
"You said something about a curse," he said.

"Yes. I cannot leave Ogygia. My father, Atlas, fought against the gods, and I supported him." Luke figured telling him was mandatory, because michael would be stuck here for all

"As in the titan Atlas?"

"Yes, you impossible little . . ."

The boy looked confused for a second, then a stunned expression overcame his face.

"You said something about a curse," he said. He pursed his lips. If he was going to be stuck here with him, he might as well know.

"Yes. I cannot leave Ogygia. My father, Atlas, fought against the gods, and I supported him."

"Atlas," the boy said, concentrating for a moment. "As in the titan Atlas?"

He rolled her eyes, grumbling. 'Yes, you impossible little-"

"Hey! Don't swear!"

Luke rolled his eyes and continued, "I was imprisoned here, where I could cause the Olympians no trouble. I thought Calum would come back for me but-"

"Calum." the boy repeated, with a look of recognition. "Calum Hood?"

The words echoed through Luke's bursting heart. They tore luke apart with every noisy syllable. Hearing somebody else say that name was unbearable.

"Wait! You're that dude!" Michael cried, "Lance? Link? Hold on I'll get it.." He snapped his fingers, "Luke! But Calum said you were awesome. He said you were all sweet and helpful, not, mean- um."

Luke stood up, furious. "Yes?"

The boy shrunk under Luke's  glare. "Uh, nothing! Nothing.. at...all. "

Calum had talked about her fondly! That made her heart swell. She wanted to Run freely with joy, and never look back. But her anger overtook those happy emotions.

"Would you be sweet if the gods never let you go? Would you be sweet if the laughed at you by sending another man, but a man who looked like - like you?'

"Is that a trick question?" Micheal asked.

Luke was done. he brushed the dirt off of himself, turned on his heel, and sauntered away.

"Hey!" Michael chased after him relentlessly, "I get why you're angry. You probably never want to see another person again. I guess that didn't sit right when, uh, Calum left you -'

The name rang out, loud and clear, and little liquid pools formed in Luke's eyes.

"He was not the first. First there was Ashton Irwin, Then Calum, and now The gods send me the great men, the ones I cannot help but...

"You fall in love with them," Michael quietly finished. "And then they leave you."

He was correct. Michael was extremely smart, that's for sure. "That is my curse. I had hoped to be free of it by now, but here I am, still stuck on Ogygia after three thousand years."

"Three thousand!" Michael took a step back, clearly shocked and amazed. "You look good for three thousand."

Normally, Luke would have been flattered by such a comment, but all he felt now was an angry bitterness. "You...." Luke trailed off, "You are the worst insult of all. The gods mock me by sending you."

Perhaps Luke had gone to far. Michael's fists clenched with anger, and his eyes turned blurry and red.

"Fine! I'll leave you alone. I'll build something myself and get off this stupid island without your help."

"You don't understand, do you? The gods are laughing at both of us. If the raft will not appear, that means they've closed Ogygia. You're stuck here the same as me. You can never leave. Forever it will be, you and me."
